After 10 and a half years, Naomi and Dale decided to seal their love officially, so they created the destination wedding of their dreams in the small, summer island of Cyprus. The couple preferred a more relaxed wedding with less formalities so getting married by the sea with greenery, beautiful surroundings it was ideal! Nissi beach resort hosted the dreamy ceremony which was simply decorated with white wooden Tiffany chairs with lace bows, long white drapes and cream roses. Enjoy a day full of romance and beauty through the following photos by Nick and Aimie – Beziique Photography!
From the bride: “After lots of research we decided that Cyprus was the perfect destination for our wedding. We always wanted a laid back and more relaxed day- less of the formalities. Getting married by the sea with beautiful surroundings is was we really wanted- and we found that in Nissi beach”.
“We have been together for 10 and a half years. We met at school, through friends, when we were aged 16 (Dale) and 14 (Naomi) and have been together ever since!”
“Dale proposed on Christmas day 2015, and it was a total surprise, I had no idea. After proposing he let me in on his actual proposal plan which he ditched at last minute and opted for a Christmas day proposal instead. So we were flying to Australia on boxing day to travel around for 6 weeks. Dale had planned to propose on a beach on a tiny little island on the great barrier reef, Lady Elliot Island. However, this was towards the end of our trip and Dale was nervous of carrying the ring around for 5 weeks before- he thought he would either lose it, or I would find it and ruin the surprise. His proposal was still perfect! He chose the ring on his own and I couldn’t have chosen it better myself. A white gold solitaire ring, with 2 twisting bands inlayed with diamonds and leading to one prominent diamond on the rings head and two smaller accompanying diamonds beside.”
“The dress was bought from a local wedding shop ‘Blush’ and the designer was Diane Harbridge. It had a hand beaded and lace bodice, with a sheer sweet heart neckline and flowing tulle skirt. The full back piece was sheer and appliqued lace with delicate ivory buttons.”
“It’s hard to choose a favourite part of the day as it was perfect from start to finish. However, if we had to choose, it would have to be the moment we said ‘I do’ in the beautiful Nissi Beach gardens, overlooking the amazing beach and surrounded by our family and friends.”
“We opted for artificial flowers from the florist Decoflora, mainly so that we could get the dusky pink colour in them, and also so that we can now keep them forever. Cream and pink roses, with hydrangeas, greenery and pink berries.”
“I don’t think we really had a theme as such but tried to run the dusky pink colour throughout the wedding as well as the lace.”
“Nick and Aimie- Beziique Photography were fantastic from the moment we booked them. Nick was always on the end of a message- replying to my questions and settling any worries I had. On the day, the guys were great. They made us feel so relaxed and it was as if we had known them for years. We weren’t looking forward to having to ‘pose’ a lot, but it wasn’t like that at all with Nick and Aimie, it was much more natural and relaxed which was perfect! We could not be happier with our photo’s- there are stunning”.
Advice to a bride-to-be: “I know it sounds cliché- but literally just chill out and enjoy it. Do not stress about the little things because at the end of the day they really do not matter. Have the day exactly how you want it- not how you think it must be, or not how somebody says you should have it- do whatever makes it perfect for you! Also- get a fantastic photographer and videographer, because when it is all over this is what you will have to remember and re-live the day forever, so you want it to be amazing!”
