If you are dreaming of a boho chic wedding with gorgeous details this darling celebration on the blog today will have you swooning! Boho chic vibes in all the wedding details and not to mention the bride’s style… Her lace boho style wedding dress and crystal bridal crown are beyond!
“I’m in love with Mediterranean culture. I wanted to combine Tuscany chic with a Greek twist. Melanie from Splendid Events made everything the way I asked her and even better. My biggest inspiration was olive tree and asymmetry. That’s why each candle on the table was different, the flowers were not perfectly shaped, and everything looked natural and due to its asymmetry different. I wanted this wedding to stand out, I asked for a table with Cypriot snacks as a decoration (loukumia, nuts, figs, and lemons) and it looked fantastic. The colors we focused on were green olive with a touch of cream and fuchsia flowers.”
“I didn’t want to look dressed up, the dress I choosed was me…It was boho, flowy, very light, I could dance and walk in it. It had open back which was perfect for summer. It had this Dolce and Gabbana type of look and the crystal crown completed the Mediterranean chic look.”
The bride shared with us: “We have meet 9 years ago on Myspace… I was about to make my student practice in Cyprus, I decide to write to someone local in order to tell me few things about Cyprus. Louis appeared first one on my search list. One night when I already arrived to Cyprus I decided to call him. We were talking from the 10.00 pm until the dawn…that’s how it all started…”
“With Loizos we share the same passion- music. We have very specific taste; we both listen to rock and metal. There is an Australian band called Karnivool which we both dreamed to see live. On April 2015 right after I came back from the trip to Miami, Loizos gave me flowers with two envelopes in them, in one envelop there were lyrics of the Karnivool song, the other envelop had tickets for the concert and airplane tickets to London. He organized everything during our stay- restaurants, hotel, theatres, and concert. The last night he proposed in a tiny Italian restaurant…It was better than I could imagine!”
“The best moment of our wedding was the moment when I entered a church and saw all my relatives and friends from Poland who made this entire journey for me. Also my brother’s speech during the ceremony and emotional moment with my dad before we entered the church…”
“For my bridal bouquet we choose olive, eucalyptus, ivy, peonies and dahlias.”
The bride shared with us: “I have very specific taste. I don’t like hotel weddings, I always dreamed about open space wedding. One day while searching for the perfect place, I found a tiny picture with the tables placed in the most beautiful mountain surrounding. None of our friends knew where this place is, until one day when our family friends told us that they know it and they went to a wedding there. We went next day …we felt in love immediately…”
“The wedding decorations were all about Mediterranean chic. We had many candles, flowers. The church looked exactly like I imagined. It was full of candles, had garlands made out of flowers and olive trees, It looked magical. Outside of the church we placed tables with the fresh lemonade along with bottles of water. Each one had the same decoration and motive as our invitation. Instead of rice outside the church, each guest got a package with rose pedals and olive leaves with the invitation motive on. The ceremony place is very beautiful itself. Splendid Events took out the best out of it by adding fresh flowers and olive trees arrangements, mentioned before flowers, fresh herbs, and asymmetrical candles. The decoration made a place stood out. We have placed a card right next to every guest –stating our appreciation for them of coming and enjoying ceremony together with us. It gave the wedding personal touch…”
“I had some ideas in my head from before, as every bride I spent hours on Pinterest. It was easy for me because I knew exactly what I want and don’t want. My main aim was for this wedding to be natural and make everyone feel comfortable. We didn’t want the elegant/stiff atmosphere neither decorations.”
The bride’s advice: “I would like to say to every future bride that wedding is not an easy thing. It takes lots of nerves to arrange everything, but in the end of the day it is her and her husband day, and it is impossible to satisfy everyone. It is important to stay calm, be organized and trust the people with whom she will be working (decorator, photographers etc).”
