Today we are sharing with you this beautiful autumn anniversary shoot in Italy. The lovely couple choose this lovely location to celebrate their unique special day, since it is the place where their story began! Experience these beautiful moments through the following photos!
Serena shared with us: “Our story began more than six years ago, during a cold autumn Sunday, in Desenzano, on Lake Garda (Italy). At first we did not seem to have much in common, but we knew from the very first day, we could no longer divide. Four years later, facing a spectacular deserted beach in south of Melbourne where we were living, riding our horses, Manolo got on one knee and proposed. One year later, we got married, strong of an experience that allows us to find our true nature, a bit rebellious and nonconformist steadily looking and happiness.”
“After moving to a small town near Milan we wanted to celebrate this day at a special place that was taking us back to the origins of our relationship: the Garda Lake and what could represent us better than the unique ‘Il Vittoriale degli Italiani’: A vintage mansion, home of one of the greatest European poets- Gabriele D’Annunzio.”
“From our love for nature, we took inspirations embracing a botanical chic style, thus paying homage to the location created by an immense park. Flowers played a fundamental role in this by attributing a romantic, vintage and bucolic allure. We chose quicksand roses, burgundy astilbe, burgundy astrantia, daucus dare and greenery thus creating a somewhat decadent, worn effect, of timeless beauty with a bohemian romanticism. The location and its park with some breathtaking view and our smiles, love and sensual complicity melted together to create this anniversary shooting by reviving the history of a bygone era. We are the protagonists like the lovers of the poet’s novels, our need to live life as a work of art, a relationship from the unconventional appearance but which contains in itself the true essence of love.”
“In the beginning seemed a mission impossible because it is well known as one of the greatest museum of all Europe and before us, no one was able to shoot there for a couple anniversary. The only one allowed so far, to get married at the ‘Vittoriale degli Italiani‘ was D’annunzio’s descendant. As you can imagine knowing the right wedding planner has been the checkmate to make it possible.”
“A Maniacal attention to detail, the tireless search for precious and luxurious fabrics, elegance, beauty, passion and sensuality. The poet had a single great purpose: making his life a work of art. In order to create something truly unique and memorable we pulled inspirations from these values for every single aspect. With the coordination of the Destination wedding planner Sabrina from – Ti amo, ti sposo weddings- we pulled ideas from the poet’s love towards precious fabrics, in particular for velvet and silk revisiting it in a modern key. The groom’s attire is an elegant dark blue velvet silk Tuxedo made in Italy, by the austere aspect made softer by the elegant and refined transparency of the tulle of my dress: a very sensual gown from New York in one of the colors that most reflects the poet’s style: the burgundy.”
