Chloe and Kevin created a dreamy wedding next to the sea that will mesmerize you! The couple wanted to seal their love in beautiful Mykonos! We fell in love with the impressive bridal dress which achieved a fresh and glamorous bridal look! See every single detail through the following images!
From Marq Riley Photography: “There are fashionable weddings, there are intimate weddings, and there are ultracool party weddings. In my seven years experience as a wedding photographer and filmmaker, a wedding that combines all three is rare. But from the moment I arrived with my second shooter Evita at the amazing Villa Elea above Elia Bay in Mykonos, we knew Chloe & Kevin’s big day might just become one of the classics.”
“This was a very personal affair, just the two of them and 20 of their closest friends and family having flown over from Australia to witness their vows over the Aegean Sea and celebrate their union in style. This is always a good foundation for emotions to play centre stage. It all started very laid back though, probably because of the pressing heat of a windless day, which if you know Mykonos is pretty unusual.”
“The ladies were in the villa’s west end, a room at the top of the stairs, a “Bride” sign hanging on the door styled in the same azure and bougainvillea watercolours of the original invitations, and for the time being that’s all we got to see of their preparations. Now couples usually hire me to capture the day’s full story, so not having access was a little odd. Perhaps Chloe wasn’t quite ready to welcome me yet, or was dealing with something personal (yes, brides actually have anxiety issues), so we waited patiently and took some more shots of the breathtaking views, the exquisite floral designs and custom table details. Then, out of the blue, Chloe and the girls come tip-toeing down the stairs wearing fine silken nighties, making sure none of the guys are around. “Marq, let’s go outside for some pictures!” she says. Next thing we know we’re having a fun Agent Provocateur-style lingerie shoot, dancing on the edge of the infinity pool, certainly a first for us before the nuptials.”
“The groom and his guys were getting ready on the east wing of the villa, keeping cool in the comfort of an air-conditioned white suite. Light grey Tom Ford suits, the kind that wouldn’t look out of place on James Bond, hung from the curtain rails, black loafers ready for the fitting, and a special present from the bride to her love waiting at the foot of the bed. A cooler with Veuve Clicquot Brut would soon be popped for the groomsmen’s toast on the front veranda.”
“It was surprises like this that became the hallmark of Chloe & Kevin’s wedding. Her dad for example may have give the impression of a tough all-Australian lad, but his reactions from the minute she came down the stairs in her unique J’Aton Couture bridal gown and all through the ceremony tells an honest story of a father not being able to hide what it means for him to let his daughter go. The joy parents share at their children having found The One was also clear from Kevin’s dad’s speech, who told of the blessing of Kevin making it through a difficult birth to becoming a successful sportsman and entrepreneur.”
“And just when you think the party can’t get any better as mums, dads, brothers, sisters and all the friends are shaking down to some serious R&B classics, Chloe comes out and amazes Kevin with a song she wrote for him, Miracle, and there’s not a dry eye left on the veranda under the stars. Fireworks light the sky, the mic is on for some Destiny’s Child, limoncello and champagne are flowing and an already unforgettable day continues into the small hours of the night. Congratulations to Chloe & Kevin for making their Mykonos vows one of their all time classic parties, and to Mikaella Theofanopoulou for creating and coordinating this everlasting day for them.”
