Today, we’re sharing the big day of two modern lovers that made us fall in love! The Greek couple decided to have an elopement in dreamy island of Santorini and exchange vows in front of the breathtaking view of the deep blue sea. They chose to have a romantic ceremony just the two of them and enjoyed private time together. The whole scene, the decoration, the table setting, and the wedding cake seemed like they’re straight out of a stylish photoshoot. We really love their alternative, modern styles that matched perfectly with the concept of their wedding. Prepare to get inspired by the following magical photos by Lato Photography!
From Lato Photography: “This modern elopement of Jenny and Fanis was planned by Amalia from Poema Weddings & Events with the help of Laura and Tommy (Lato Photography), friends of the couple. All the details from this romantic day were based on a modern style, especially with Jenny’s dress, a unique peace created by the stylist Gloria, she was looking for something really different form the bride couture, a very elegant linen small cape, covering a very fine lace as a top, with black bra recalling the black boots we was wearing. Luca from My Golden Age was informed about this style and he created perfect rings for this elopement.”
“While Martina from Bianchi Weddings, the graphic designer, she created a flowery stationary that Jenny from Flowery wanted to follow, using the same flowers for the big day. Fanis was wearing a grey linen suit made by Veronica from Linneo Archivable Clothes, perfect for the the style of the wedding and the light fo the island. We decided to have some portraits with the couple on a white modern church, right next to the venue (the brand-new venue: Erosantorini is a real magical place, by the way did you notice the drown carpets from the worldwide recognized Italian Designer Paola Navone) and than some other outside on breathtaking cliffs during sunset time.”
From the bride: “We are a Greek couple based in Thessaloniki and we wanted to have a romantic ceremony just the two of us on the magical island of Santorini, we have been there few times being wedding photographers too, so we decided that that Island was perfect for us especially at the end of the high season for weddings. We couldn’t choose a better season for a wedding, the beginning of November, out of the wedding season for us and for the island. The weather was great, sunny and not too windy. We wanted our friends Laura and Tommy from Lato Photography as our photographers, was so important to have photographers you are familiar with, we have an amazing friendship and the feeling they created with us during the wedding was the most important thing of the day to make us feel comfortable and enjoying every single minute of the day.”
“The moment when we exchange our vows was the most emotional part of the day, we felt happy and excited, we couldn’t believe we where there and getting married. Amalia from Poema Weddings & Events has been awesome, she planned every single detail and the most remarkable moment of the day was after the ceremony, when she surprised us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate the moment.”
“If you want to be just the two of you, enjoying every single moment of the place you chose, consider having a venue with no tourists for your elopement. Of course, Santorini is very crowded during summer (is a very beautiful and breathtaking island you know) but there are also amazing spots with no people so if you choose the right venue as magical as Erosantorini is (did you see the painted carpet form the Italian designer Paola Navone), you are not getting wrong, because a relaxed venue and the awesome colorful sunset in Santorini worth the travel to go there.”
