The beautiful island of Paros was the setting for the destination wedding we are sharing today! With a lot of gold details, white and pink colors and a fun party that lasted till the next morning… this wedding is absolutely lovely!
“We met in the elevator of our student dorms. I am half French half Indian and Danny is from Romania. We both came to do a Masters in the US (in Boston) and we were neighbors. We never left Boston and we even have a beautiful baby girl who is soon going to turn 10 months”.
“He proposed in Mexico. He took me for dinner to the Ritz. He had rented a sort of tent on the beach where we had our own waiter. A bottle of champagne was waiting for us. The main dish came with a rose and he proposed on his knees”.
“We picked Greece because we wanted an orthodox wedding, but a neutral place (neither France, India nor Romania). I have always been in love with Greek islands and a few of our bests friends are Greek, so it seemed like the perfect choice. We chose Paros, because it is not as touristy as some other islands, yet it is very beautiful and big enough for our guests to enjoy”.
“I bought my wedding dress in Paris. I fell in love with it at first sight. It has an A-line shape”.
“The ceremony took place at the St George Hotel in Paros”.
“It was a destination wedding, with a lot of gold, white and pink colors. We tried to keep the decorations simple, but classy”.
“We had a budget, so we kept things rather simple: flowers, centerpieces, a few lanterns”.
“We got some inspiration from Pinterest and our wedding planner who sent us several options to choose from”.
“The best moment was the party overall – after dinner. Everyone was dancing, drinking, clearly having fun. We ended up on the beach with a morning bath. Our DJ and videographer came along with us, so we even have footage from that”.
Bride’s advice: “Hire a wedding planner! It made things so much easier for me!”

Hi Aurore, such a beautiful wedding and you said it was in a budget. Can I ask how much you budget was? We are on a budget too and very nervous. Thanks 🙂
