Every time I see a wedding on a Greek island I inevitably start daydreaming about all the beautiful and unique scenery… and this rustic wedding in Kea captured by C&P Sofikitis is definitely no exception. I especially LOVED the bride’s effortless chic wedding dress she beautifully designed herself!
“Deciding on a wedding dress was the easiest thing for me. Being a designer at The KNLs, I designed it and the gown was ready within a month. I even designed a dress for the day after photo shoot.”
Maria was fully involved in planning all the wedding decorations and she also had the help of her relatives and as she mentioned:“The decoration at the church and the reception had a rustic flair… with tree branches, ropes and wooden lanterns.”
The wedding ceremony took place at the picturesque chapel of St. Sostis, overlooking the beautiful Cove of Ontzia on the islad of Kea.
“The ceremony was definitely our favorite moment. We were calm and relaxed and everyone was joyful and laughing … even the priest that performed the ceremony!
“The best decision we made was choosing our wedding photographer. We really communicated perfectly from the very first moment. We shared the same philosophy about wedding photos and we honestly had so much fun during the entire wedding”.
Maria shares her advice for brides that are now planning their wedding: “Don’t obsess over every detail being perfect, be in great mood and enjoy yourself to the fullest!
