This intimate destination wedding in Santorini is so fiercely beautiful! Stacey and Tyler tied the knot in the Greek idyllic island at a stunning location overlooking the caldera. «I chose to have primarily orchids and calla lilies for my wedding flowers. The florals were mostly a crimson red/purple color. I wanted to have a simple but elegant look that included my favorite flower (calla lilies). I also wanted something unique that I hadn’t seen many people do. Overall, our decor was pretty simple as we were married on a gorgeous balcony overlooking the most breathtaking part of Santorini», Stacey shared with us. All the special moments captured by Nikos Gogas will certainly brighten your day!

The bride shared with us: «Tyler first saw me while I was waitressing at a restaurant. We were both taking summer classes at Indiana University that year. Tyler’s cousin Brandon had been asking me for my phone number for two weeks so that he could give it to him. After hearing about enough of how badly this illusive cousin of Brandon’s was I finally said that I would have to hear it from Tyler himself that he wanted my number. About 15 minutes later Tyler walked to the back of the restaurant and very shyly asked for a glass of water and my phone number. After a few jokes, I agreed to give it to him. When I got off of work that same night he asked to take me out for a ride on his motorcycle and that was pretty much it. He was so sweet and polite and I just could not get over how drawn to him I was! Here we are almost 10 years later and finally married!»
«I love wine and have been obsessed with going to Napa Valley for years. I had recently found out that I got the job at a hospital I had been wanting for a very long time and when I told Tyler he decided to take me to Napa to celebrate! I was beyond excited! While we were packing, Tyler told me that he had made a reservation at a “very fancy” winery that had a strict dress code. Who am I to question that? So, I made sure to pack something extra nice that he insisted on approving before we even left. On the morning of February 6th we both donned our fancy outfits and set out to this winery that was truly in the middle of nowhere. We lost cell service and got lost, he was kind of freaking out about being there on time which I thought was weird, and I told him we still had plenty of time to drink wine! After finally finding this elusive winery we started our tasting and right in the middle of it the host told us we should go on a walk up the hill to see the view before it got too dark. I love a pretty view accompanied by a glass of wine so also didn’t question that at all. He walked me up the hill and I noticed some rose petals and my heart started pounding as he continued to walk me into the center of this heart of rose petals. With tears in his eyes, he told me how he’s know since the day he met me that I was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He had a photographer hiding nearby who captured the whole thing and then took engagement photos of us all around this beautiful winery. It was an absolutely magical day!»
«My wedding dress is definitely not traditional. It is strapless with off white lace layer over a mocha color satin. The back is low cut but has a gorgeous mesh in between and buttons all down the back. My train wasn’t too long but definitely had a little length to it. It was the very first dress I ever tried on when I just randomly went into a bridal shop with my mom and I kept coming back to it over and over again even after trying on dresses at other shops so I think it was definitely meant to be my dress!»

The ceremony was so special because it was only our immediate families and closest friends there that day and Tyler and I wrote our own vows which I absolutely loved doing. It made our wedding seem so personal and even more special to read each other our own words. The reception was incredible! The food was SO GOOD! The speeches had everyone tearing up and all of us danced and drank well into the early morning hours and had an absolute blast! I also loved our rehearsal “dinner” the day before the wedding because we actually took all of our guest on a 6 hour catamaran boat ride through the Aegean Sea where we were all able to enjoy the views and sunshine and have some truly incredible food while preparing for the wedding the following day!»
«Reading the vows that my husband and I had written to each other was my favorite moment». Bride’s advice: Get married at Canavas Oia in Santorini! They were INCREDIBLE to work with and truly took care of everything. I found all of my vendors through them and was 100% thrilled with each and every one of them!»
