Lenka and Lukas share the same great love for Italian lifestyle and culture, so their wedding could not have been inspired by anything else than this love! Their dream was to combine Fellini’s masterpiece La Dolce Vita with modern Dolce & Gabbana colorful editorials… and as you will see their wedding has exceeded all their expectations!

From bride and groom: “Inspiration for the day was definitely Fellini’s masterpiece La Dolce Vita. The challenge was to bring the black and white film into colorful real life wedding – make it a bit of a combination of the old La Dolce Vita movie spirit mashed with modern Dolce & Gabbana colorful editorials. We both love Italian fashion, food, wine and overall the way of life. La Dolce Vita movie was a great source of inspiration for our key graphic visuals as well as our outfits. We wanted to have a wedding that will be completely different from the traditional weddings we have seen around us. Gladly we found a location that resembles little bit the Italian countryside. The tough part about the venue was to push back its “too romantic and rustic atmosphere and give it the high-fashion and modern vibe we wanted. To make it our own wedding, we did as much as possible to cut off the formalities associated with the civil weddings in our country, such as impersonal speeches of the licensed officiant from the local municipality. Instead we asked Lenka’s father to have a speech about us, right before we said yes to each other. Amazing speech that was, touching, sentimental but at the same time full of fun!
“The most important thing for us was that we set out a key rule at the very beginning of our planning – make the wedding “for us and by us”. That pretty much guided the whole planning, from picking out graphics, design, flowers, music, dresses, food, drinks and all… Make it your own. Make it a wedding no one has had before around you. Tell that to your planners and suppliers and be clear on what you expect. For us the most important person during the planning phase was an event planner and organizer whose biggest job was to run the show during the wedding day. We pretty much picked out our own suppliers, decorators, tailors, photographers, etc. but we needed someone who will finish the job and run the most important day for us. This was a single guy who put all the bits and pieces of the whole planning puzzle together and allowed us to enjoy our day without worrying too much. To give you an idea, on the wedding day before the actual start, Lukas was chilling by the pool with his friends and Lenka was getting her hair and makeup done with a glass of champagne in her hand – that’s exactly what we wanted..”
The most memorable moment of the wedding day for the groom: “Cliché, I know, but it was definitely seeing Lenka for the first time walking down the aisle in that amazing dress that pretty much sums up her whole persona.”
The most memorable moment of the wedding day for the bride:“Once the official ceremony was over, the knot was tied, we walked away hand in hand passing by all our loved ones, Jason Derulo song was playing, people threw flower petals at us and it all came to me and the feeling was amazing. I didn’t really realize what was happening until this moment.”

Love the simplicity of the wedding cake, in contrast to all the designer names elsewhere.
