From the stunning setting of the gorgeous Greek island of Folegandros to the stylish bride and groom, the destination wedding of Emily and Mark will undoubtedly fulfill your wanderlust and with Nikos Psathoyiannakis behind the camera trust me when I tell you that are going to fall head over heels in love with!
“We wanted to travel with a small group of close friends and family to have an intimate wedding ceremony in a setting that would feel like a true escape for all of us. We had never been to Greece, but always wanted to visit. We’re already planning many returns!”
“We met in a local bar in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, where we were both living at the time. Mark proposed in Kennebunkport, Maine, a small fishing village where he grew up. The proposal was during the town’s Christmas Prelude Festival while the two of us were on a walk overlooking the ocean…” the bride shared with us.
“We wanted a simple elegant wedding. Folegandros as a setting cannot and should not be tampered with!”
“The wedding decoration was very minimal with a romantic chic vibe… We found inspiration and ideas while planning our wedding mostly pinterest tagging wedding blogs like Chic and Stylish Weddings!”
The bride’s advice: “Think big picture vision of the day and how the experience will be for you and your guests. From there, look at options within the budget that you have. For us, an intimate destination wedding was the best fit.”
“My wedding dress was from a Greek designer named Theia, fitted with beading. It definitely had a red carpet, Hollywood glamour vibe to it.”
“The best moment of the wedding was Emily’s donkey ride through Chora at sunset with local musicians leading the way. The locals were incredibly welcoming and the village is pure magic at night.”
