Rustic wedding in Hydra island

It is a given that destination weddings on the Greek islands are drop dead gorgeous… and this summer wedding on the beautiful island of Hydra is definitely not an exception.

As the bride mentions: “everything about the wedding was like a fairy tale…”

“The summer wedding, took place at St. Nicolas, a smaller island of Hydra. The date of the wedding wasn’t random… it was actually the groom’s birthday! Our wedding day was beautiful and everything just aligned perfectly…”, the bride shared with us.

“The wedding proposal took place in Prague during a romantic walk. On the top a small bridge we “sealed” our love forever!”

The bride’s favorite wedding decoration details: “The white umbrellas from rice paper and the white hats that our friends were sharing with people during the ceremony. The wedding favors, the wedding sparklers and the match box with our wedding date all were wrapped in the same ribbon with a logo: “our love is in the air… breath in”, and they were all hand-made. Also the beautiful welcome bags for our guests featuring a map of the island that had our wedding logo and were filled with treats..!”

The bride’s favorite moments: “The time during the preparation in my room while listening to live guitar and  violin music… as well as when we danced as husband and wife at the reception to our favorite song!”

“After many hours of trying dresses at different bridal boutiques, I found the dress that truly represented me… A dreamy, romantic, sexy, bohemian wedding dress… It was exactly the wedding gown of my dreams. The most important detail was that it didn’t make me feel tired and it was well -made and comfortable that I could dance until the morning. I felt as though I was wearing a simple dress!”

The groom’s favorite moment: “When Nia (the bride) arrived by a little boat and her friends started singing and I was just standing there watching her from afar… and also so happy for what was going to happen!”

The bride’s advice: “Be yourselves and live every moment with passion… Those hours and minutes won’t come back! If anything goes wrong (something is bound to go wrong…) don’t let that moment spoil your mood! Smile, be joyful and love each moment passionately! Everything else just happens magically..!”

The romantic bridal bouquet had white lysianthus, chamomile, lavender and wild flowers.
