Overlooking the Mediterranean, this beautiful venue played host to a kind of tropical wedding with Southern California vibe. The couple decided to give to their guests coming in from the East Coast, a classic Southern California experience, so the Spanish architecture and the natural landscapes of California created the perfect mix! Because of her obsession with Hawaii, the bride, Becca, chose to enhance their wedding with some tropical touches such as tropical leaves of different kinds. The reception was simply decorated with vases of leaves, white flowers and gold, shiny details that made the result look clear and elegant. Enjoy every single moment through the following, great photos by Brianna Caster & Co. Photographers!

From the bride: “I guess my inspiration for our wedding design was first and foremost to have that kind of quintessential Southern California vibe – so, beach and Spanish style buildings. Casa was perfect because it had that gorgeous view of the ocean, the awesome Spanish style architecture and a great mix of natural California landscapes. We had a ton of guests coming in from the East Coast, so we thought it would be fun to give everyone that classic Southern California experience – plus it’s where we’re from so it made sense. I’ve also always had a bit of an obsession with Hawaii, so that’s where the tropical leaves came from. Otherwise, our goal was just to have it be like a classy (but not stuffy), laid back, fun party with all of our closest friends and family, which I think/hope is the way it came off.”

“We met the summer after my freshman year of college, when I was 19 and TC was 21. A mutual friend had been inviting me to his team’s ice hockey games all season, so since I was home I decided to go to one. It happened to be the championship game and TC’s team won (TC scored the winning goal!) so the team had a celebratory party afterwards. We met at the party and the rest is history! After dating long distance for the first three years while I was away at college, we decided we’d had enough. I decided to go to law school in Boston and TC transferred to a business school there as well…”

“Three years later, about a week after TC and I had both survived my taking the bar exam, we were home in California and TC proposed at the beach (with a clever little photo trick) with our siblings and closest friends around us. There were a few hiccups getting to the proposal (including TC smashing his face up in his pool the day before, my best friend almost spilling the secret multiple times, and my demanding we go to a different beach when I saw how crowded the first one he had chosen was), but he pulled off the perfect proposal in the end! After another brief stint of long distance, a move to another new city and new jobs, we got married two years later at Casa Romantica in San Clemente on the most perfect day…”
