From Ben and Sophia Photography: “This romantic nature inspired shoot was driven by natural tones of pinks, greens and whites and hints of gold. An emphasis on florals and the settings around the shoot was used to capture the romantic nature inspired theme. The florist created a suspended floral arch that complimented the natural growth at the Ceremony site of The Mill at Fine Creek which is currently a wedding venue site located in Powhatan Virginia. The florals were made as if it had just grown there naturally on the stone. A local bridal shop worked with us on the shoot and lent a gorgeous taupe colored lace gown. The lace on the gown is copyrighted and hand made in Belgium. The designer, Rambo Styling, is known to create one of a kind dresses. A unique floor length veil was also lent to the shoot also by the same designer. The taupe color added to the color scheme and showcased a beautiful bride stepping outside of the traditional all white dress yet still keeping within a neutral color. The day of the shoot it poured but the rain added to the shoot. The green stood more vibrant in the photos… We waited in between downpours to wipe off tables and get the bride out in her gown. It shows that even a little rain or downpour doesn’t mean a shoot can’t be beautiful. For the shoot, three tables were setup. A sweet heart table was set with gold candle sticks, a floral centerpiece with vintage china on a rustic weathered farm table with burlap laced around the legs. Gold accents were hung in the willow tree that the table was placed under. A few pieces such as branches and gold ceramic birds tied in the table with the nature theme. A dessert table was set up, filled with a cake decked in floral. Desserts dishes were added and filled with french macaroons, strawberries, cookies, and coconut macaroons. The white table and shelf added to the romantic look for the theme and a handwritten “sweets” sign was added as well as a few rustic elements of a basket, wooden crate, lace. Sweet bird detailing can be found on the dessert dish. A third table set up near creek right by the water adorned with a foliage runner, gold candle sticks, vintage china and lanterns. More gold was tied in using the stationary. Gold ink was used and the calligraphy gave it a more romantic touch…”
