From the stunning view to the romantic ceremony setting, every single detail of this wedding is absolutely perfect. the villa’s olive grove turned into an outdoor cozy wedding venue under the trees and lights overflowing with romance…We absolutely loved their wedding decoration with wild flowers, whimsical, feathery and ethereal pampas grass, dried greenery and dried palm leaves which gave a unique touch to the ceremony creating a spectacular wild setting and a magnificent experience for the guests of the lovely couple. Long tables with wood folding chairs and spectacular string lighting overhead completed this scenery in the most wonderful way. Enjoy every special moment of this wonderfool couple through the following photos and get lost in beauty of this bohemian setting!
The bride shared with us: “We met at Cornell University through mutual friends. He proposed at the riverside while in Rome.”
“My dress was a bohemian gown Mira, by Rue de Seine. I wish I could wear it again. All silk, with tassels, sleeves, train, gold foil printed design, I couldn’t have dreamed it up but I was very happy to have found such an amazing and unique gown from Jean Jackson Couture, and the whole wedding style and decor was designed around it. Went without sleeves with veil for ceremony and switched for reception. Designed invitations after dress, with bilingual design gold foil print on cotton paper, finished with crinkles brown silk ribbon and handmade tassels to seal the envelopes.”
“The ceremony took place in Vlacherna Church, Lefkada. We picked Lefkada for our destination wedding as Georgios is Greek to have a place that would also give people a great holiday while being accessible.”
“Our wedding decoration was in earth tones, neutral earth tones, bohemian, and Mediterranean. For my bridal bouquet I choose pampas grass, giant protea, orchids, sun spears, eucalyptus. I wanted an outdoor reception under the trees and lights. We used all natural earth tones (white, grey, beige/brown, gold), bohemian styling inspired by the dress, pampas grass, rugs used for dance floor, gold cutlery, dried greenery table runners, peacock chairs, dried palm leaves, long tables with wood folding chairs, and spectacular string lighting overhead.”
Lefkada Wedding Photography shared with us:
“Claudia is from New York, George is from Greece, they live in London and decided to get married in Lefkada. Instead of a beach wedding they prefered to have a cozy celebration in an olive grove with earthy colors and charasteristic textures. Their wedding in Lefkas had all the key trends from this year by the way: pampas grass, peacock chairs, rug dancefloor, handmade calligraphy and bohemian styling to name just a few, but it of course had all the emotions and a lot of love, too. They tied the knot in the orthodox church of Panagia Vlacherna surrounded by olive trees and perfectly decorated with dried and fresh flowers. After the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a delicious meal at Apanemia luxury villa, that offered breathtaking view and provided a luxurious and comfortable space to enjoy. The Your Lefkada Wedding team turned the villa’s olive grove into a wedding venue which is not only pretty and cozy but functional. It felt so great seeing guests enjoying it. We were glad to see such a fiercely fashionable bride, wearing this Rue de Seine bohemian wedding gown, carefully picked jewelry, the unique bridal fedora hat so effortlessly. Whimsical, feathery and ethereal pampas grass makes a real statement when used as part of a wedding decoration. Due to its size, it frames other florals, like protea or orchids perfectly; and due to its neutral muted tones, it contrasts beautifully with wedding greenery such as eucalyptus. We also added dried palm trees, sunspears, wooden and brass items to enrich the textures. The bride did a wonderful job handcrafting all their lovely bespoke stationery with cottonpaper, gold foliage and tassels. It was an honor to plan this wedding with such a demanding bride and be part of Claudia and George’s wedding day!”
