Gorgeous styled shoot in navy hues and luxurious gold details

The styled shoot we are sharing with you today will mesmerize you! The following photos will transport you to France, in a gorgeous royal venue with incredible architecture and luxurious design. The overall idea of the styled shoot was inspired by French heritage and history, so a chateau was just the perfect venue for the shoot. The grooms matched with the color palette of the styled shoot, dressed in navy suit with blue tie and bright blue suit with pink tie. We fell in love with the reception and the stunning setting which was overflowed with shine and glam. A big gold chandelier, a greenery garland with flowers, a feathered mat, candles and chairs covered with eclectic blue cushions created the most opulent result. La Fête shared with us: “The starting point for planning this shoot was the colour. We knew that we wanted to incorporate shades of purple, but naturally moved towards a dominant blue colour with crimson and amethyst accents. Once the colour palette was set, we began to think of the style of shoot we wanted to create. Because of our French heritage, we have always been immensely inspired by our country’s history and after seeing a piece of royal blue Toile de Jouy fabric, we were set on a regal and decadent theme.”

“As with the venue, we began researching châteaus in France and came across Château Challain. We were able to use several parts of the property, from the château steps and formal dining room, to the tower for the ceremonial shots.”

“We wanted our grooms to fit the colour scheme, while retaining their own personal style, hence the navy suit and patterned blue tie, to the bright blue suit and pink tie.”

“Our stationery by the fantastic De Winton Paper Co. combined both nature in the delicate floral border and the majesty of the venue, with a bespoke watercolour illustration of Château Challain. In keeping with our overall theme, Château Challain created for us a stunning three-tiered royal blue cake, complete with gold detailing, frame accents, edible pearls and sugar flowers.”

“The flowers supplied by Château Challain were an integral part of this shoot. The arrangements in the ceremony shots were very purple with hints of pink, while the display in the dining room blended white, crimson and purple with foliage and branches, for a luxurious yet wild feel.”

“As much as we wanted to keep the ceremony shots relatively simple, we chose to make sure that the reception looked as regal as possible, with a matte gold cloth, polished gold cutlery, matching crockery, with a feathered mat beneath. The chair cushions were covered in electric blue fabric and the glassware, like the chandeliers hanging over the table, was cut crystal.”

Romantic winter elopement by the ocean

Today we’re sharing with you a romantic elopement of two gorgeous lovebirds! Free and in union with nature, the young couple escape to the shores of the Atlantic to celebrate their love. The cliffs of the Atlantic coast were the ideal setting to evoke this romantic elopement. The couple enjoyed time together and admired the peaceful view of the calm sea. The bride was wearing a unique flowy wedding dress with lace details and long sleeves holding her chic and stylish bridal bouquet in pale pink, white and green hues. “Free and in union with nature, two young lovers escape to the shores of the Atlantic to celebrate their love. This is how we imagined this Elopement inspired by British romanticism, this literary movement that freed itself from social conventions to free lyricism and passion, just as these two lovers. An elopement offers this wild escape, this nonconform and free commitment where love takes its rightful place. As an illustration of this freedom, we have chosen a wild setting to tell our story, their story. For this romance, we sought images evoking the fullness of passion in love, the authenticity of emotions, without frills. The pure joy of being together, of loving each other in the wild nature, of embracing and contemplating each other in communion with the elements. We wanted these images to be read like a novel by Marry Shelley or a walk by Lord Byron whether they would be the free expression of passion.”

“The cliffs of the Atlantic coast were the ideal setting to evoke this romanticism that came from the other side of the ocean. Their soft shades and autumn lights invite you to dream. They inspired the dress designer, Mademoiselle Rêve, who used the codes of British classicism for her creation, by working on a sheer bodice with Calais lace. This sublime dress combines modesty and sensuality. Sophisticated elegance and lightness…. with the tulle petticoat, a reference to the mist emanating from the rocks. The muslin evokes the vaporous side and allows water to caress the bride’s feet.”

This second edition of my Workshop was another great success; the participants were absolutely delighted with the results. The talented Antoinette of Fleurs de Fée orchestrated the floral backdrop. I wanted an ambience which was simultaneously warm, modern and elegant – but with a hint of ‘folk’ because that’s what I love and what inspires me at the moment. Antoinette not only understood but surpassed my requirements, choosing warm tones and a sumptuous blend of dry plants and seasonal flowers. The palm leaves created disruption for a more graphic effect around the structure. A few floral and luminous touches reinforced the decorative ambience of this unusual venue: an immense studio bathed in light where vintage furniture rubs shoulders with decorative art.”

Close your eyes and escape in Provence, a region in southeastern France that is well-known for its diverse incredible landscapes such as the alps, the plains, the vineyards, the pine forests, the lavender fields… The inspiration photoshoot that we’re sharing today took place next to a calm sea surrounded with greenery. Domaine de Chantilly, a place full of glamour and luxury was decorated with minimalistic, aristocratic details with white, beige color tones and gold, black details. The model bride was wearing an impressive wedding dress ornamented with an open back and light purple beaded flowers on the cape. From Faith Cauvain: “This inspirational shoot took place in a very special location named the Domaine de Chantilly. This stunning place is the essence of French style with elegant facade, French moldings and refined interior. We styled everything with minimalist yet elegant and classic details to compliment the beautiful venue. White, organic, pure were our keywords.
The bride is a professional model, a modern woman that can be sexy & sassy at the same time. We did an editorial boudoir shoot in black and white to pair with her job.
She first wore a Christophe Alexandre Docquin dress that is fully embracing her features and then wore a breathtaking Faith Cauvain dress ornamented with light purple beaded flowers on the cape for the intimate ceremony. We think that we needed to add a touch of modern approach to the classic styling of the venue and we do hope this aesthetic will make you feel “un je ne sais quoi”!”

Today, we are travelling in France with this gorgeous photoshoot that took place in countryside and blends nature with french elegance. The decoration is a combination of natural elements such as wood, leaves, tree branches and white candles. Everything looks extremely plain and soothing but glorious at the same time. Lisa Hoshi shared with us: “We have gathered a nice team in a very beautiful domain in France: La Commanderie de Dormelles. It is a renowned place at 80km from Paris, acquired by the Templars in the 12th century, combining calm, serenity and nature. We wanted to keep this natural and authentic atmosphere for our shooting, using the vegetation that the place offered : branches of willow, eucalyptus mixed with raw materials and more delicate objects. The idea was to include nature while keeping french elegance and a pretty “chic” touch. I chose two pretty long-sleeved lace dresses for the delicate side, some vintage touch in the decoration, a little bit of madness for the groom … all underlined by a beautiful handmade stationery…”

Romantic wedding inspiration in Provence

This dreamy shoot in Provence, France make us want to travel there immediately! A shoot inspired by “the beautiful white Camargue horses, and old stone walls and alley-ways of the ancient towns”. Just beautiful!

“This was my first time in the South of France. I’d been to Paris, but always dreamed of visiting the small towns and beautiful landscape of Provence. When I began my research for the trip, I stumbled across the unique history of the Camargue Horses. They are all white, and roam the salt marshes and flat territories along the coast. Not far from the beautiful cities of Saint Remy and Les Baux, where I’d be staying and photographing on my trip. The horses are a celebrated fixture of Provence history, and equally mysterious, as it is not known exactly how they came to be there.”

“For the table inspiration, I chose pale pink hues and stone to mimic the rest of the shoot. Romantic, and a bit wild. Yonder design made beautiful custom equestrian invites and I purchased the most beautiful petrified wood chargers from Terrain.”

“I wanted to avoid the classic Provence stereotypes for this shoot, so I did not focus on the lavender fields or Grand Chateau’s in the countryside. Instead my inspiration would be the beautiful white Camargue horses, and old stone walls and alley-ways of the ancient towns. The soft greys and creams of the old stone, and the wild flowing mane of the Camargue horse perfectly complimented the pale pink, flowy J.Mendel dress. The stunning white stone staircase inside the Hotel De Tourrel in Saint Remy made for a beautiful location, as well as the ancient alleyways outside. Then for sunset, we trekked to the top of the Ancient Ruins of Les Baux in the hills.”
