Myrto Dramountani was born in Athens, Greece. Although she started her career as an Architect…she was won over by the fashion industry.
She was first introduced to fashion when she designed the Athens Municipality Pavilion for the 2nd Hellenic Fashion Week.
That was when she combined fashion with Arshitecture and discovered the strong relation between those two worlds. She then decided to study fashion design at the prestigious Parsons The New School for Design in New York City.
Myrto Dramountani worked in New York City with leading fashion firms and designers such as Barami, Magaschoni Apparel Group and Victor De Souza. Her first capsule collection was sold at Imilla Road Pop up store, in Soho, Manhattan.
As the Greek designer mentions: «Fashion for me has an architectural dimension. We create clothing for the same reason we build a house: looking for refuge for our body and we accomplish that with geometrical designs. Our clothing protect us, they evoke emotions and impressions, they work with us. The same goes for the space we live and work in. Fashion and architecture follow the same logic and paths and they have similar techniques and codes».

Myrto Dramontani finds inspiration for her collections from the fabric itself. She uses digital programs that one can come across in architectural designs and laser techniques that create 3D fissures and uneven surfaces.
The designer creates a vintage feel with the shape and details of the clothing. The purpose behind that as she explains is «not only to cover, but also uncover the body in a constructive way».
