With the natural landscape of Kea island as a backdrop and the combination of nude hues with blue and soft pink, this wedding was simply gorgeous! Kiara and George tied the knot in the courtyard of a church which was overlooking the deep blue sea and was perfectly decorated with bouquets and garlands of greenery and fresh flowers. After the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a delicious meal at Aigis Suites Kea, that offered breathtaking views and was beautifully adorned with elegant décor, floral centerpieces and candles. The bride shared with us: “We met in London but he proposed in the Philippines in a magical place that George booked. He had arranged everything before we arrived and although he was planning to propose when the trip ended, he proposed when we arrived. It was a fantastic place, full of rose petals and ocean views… It was our most embarrassing yet dreamy moment!”
“Our wedding took place at Agia Eirini, a church that was on the sea and where we spent our last summer.”
“For my bouquet, I chose roses, lisianthus, hypericum, bouvardia and olive. We chose nude and blue tones to match the rest of the wedding and the style.”
“Our wedding style was elegant chic beach wedding, so we preferred nude colors with some hints of blue. We wanted to blend harmonically with the island vibe so we chose the hues of the sea and the sand for our invitations, favors and decoration.”
“Our favorite wedding moment… On Friday before the wedding we woke up very early in the morning because we were looking forward to seeing all our relatives and friends. We decided not to wait until the afternoon at the prewedding party, so we went to the port of Jia to welcome them. When we saw the first boat arriving from Lavrio, we knew that it was the beginning of an unforgettable weekend. So, as everyone were going out of the boat, the port filled with hugs, kisses and lots of horns! From then, all the anxiety went away, and the excitement started! The top moment was when I arrived at the church by boat and I saw George, our families and our friends ready to share our joy!”
“I had visited many boutiques in London but also in Athens to find the wedding dress that I was dreaming and that matches to the island style. When I visited Maria Konidi and tried her wedding dresses, she told me one thing: “I want you to like all the wedding dresses that you’re trying, and we will end up somewhere together.” At first, I was puzzled because in the other boutiques that I visited, I didn’t like all the wedding dresses… however she was right! The quality, the detail and the effort that she puts into each wedding dress was unique and so we ended up with the idyllic wedding dress for me. The details were incredible and the girls there were very cooperative and helpful! It was what I had really dreamed of! ”
“I had seen a similar wedding on Love4Weddings with the one we wanted, so we made the decision to choose this venue and this island! I got a lot of ideas for the wedding style, the decoration and the flowers.”
Advice to a bride to be: “Get well organized early to enjoy a stress-free wedding day! Once all the couple’s friends and relatives are present, everything else is over!”
