Inspired by their love, the couple chose the magical island of Santorini with its breathtaking and idyllic landscapes, as the backdrop of the happiest day of their lives. The classy and elegant white color which dominated combined with champagne and light pinks hues achieved an absolute harmony in the wedding reception area. The lovely wedding bouquet of the bride with peonies and roses, the stylish and romantic table decoration with candles, candelabras and gold stands decorated with artificial flowers and the crystals scattered were giving an aristocratic tone. Τhe bride was shining in her wedding dress with the long train which was fitted perfectly to her body, decorated with small white crystals and straps from diamonds! Check out the following photos and feel completely transported to this gorgeous wedding!
The bride shared with us: “We met through mutual friends and planned to meet at a party one night then the following day we went on our first date and have been inseparable since!”
“George proposed in one of my favourite countries, Greece! He did it on the beach as he said he knew it was my favourite place. We had our own private dinner over the sea then had a walk along the beach where in candles it said will you Marry Me and he got down on one knee!”
“For my wedding bouquet I had white peonies for bouquet with 3 blush roses in-between!”
“For my wedding dress I choose Enzoani 2018 wedding collection dress, called ‘McKinley’. I was actually the first person to wear this dress! I had originally chosen another Enzoani dress, then whilst I was away on holiday, they released the 2018 collection and as soon as I saw the McKinley I knew it was the one! So, when I went to try it on I hadn’t even done the zip up and I knew instantly it was the one. It was the first dress out of probably about 30 dresses that I had tried on that had made me and my mum cry! I fell in love with the long train and just the way the dress fitted to my body was just perfect! The top bit was embellished in small white crystals with nude mesh underneath and the straps were all diamonds. The back was a lower back and had all the diamonds around the edge. It was just perfect!!”
“The ceremony took place in Santorini, at ‘Le Ciel’! “I didn’t actually have anywhere specific in mind to get married apart from the fact I knew I wanted to do it abroad. I was online looking at venues and as soon as I saw Le Ciel I knew straight away that was the venue I wanted to marry at and then I found out it was in Santorini which was a huge bonus as I’ve always wanted to go there as it looks unbelievably stunning…which it most certainly was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been!”
“I wanted to go for really neutral colours as I’m not a big fan of bright colours and I feel sticking neutral is very classy and elegant. I just wanted all white everything, but my lovely lady who did our flowers talked me round to adding a bit of champagne and light pinks into the colour scheme which I’m so happy I did as it was Just how I imagined! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I walked in and saw how stunning it looked.”
“I would probably say the best moment of our wedding was walking down the aisle to see George shedding a tear (as I really didn’t think he would I think I’ve only ever seen him cry twice) and our first dance as I love looking back at the video and seeing the massive smile on my face and remembering how happy I was that day!”
“As for our wedding decoration, we went for lots of candles on the top table, and smaller gold candle holders on the other tables which I love as I find it so romantic. We had also gold candelabras and gold stands for the centre pieces of all the tables where we had big flowers on. We had little crystals scattered across the table to make it look pretty! Then on the back of the chairs for our ceremony and reception we had blush pink drapes which I absolutely love and thought it really added a special touch to the decor!”
Advice for a bride to be: “I would say to try not stress over anything as whatever it is that’s stressing you out will get sorted in the end. And all the stressing I did for two whole years leading up to the day I really didn’t care I was probably the most relaxed person in the room getting ready as all I was thinking about was getting married to George. Everything else that was a huge worry to me completely disappeared on that special day!”
