Greece is one of the most beautiful and romantic destinations to get married and today’s couple shares this belief! They chose to tie the knot with a boho beach wedding at the Athenian Riviera. The ceremony and reception areas were beautifully adorned with flower arrangements with white flowers and greenery. The tables were decorated with vases with fresh flowers, candles and blue details. The bride was stunning in her elegant wedding dress with embroidered details and a tulle tail! Enjoy all the prettiness of this wedding through the following photos!
The bride shared with us: “We met on Facebook. I appeared on Demetre’s timeline as friend of his friend, he sent me a friend request and I accepted it. We had two mutual friends. We chatted a little through messenger and the next day he invited me for lunch to the beautiful Greek restaurant Paralia near Lake Ontario. We didn’t notice how the time passed, our first date lasted 5 hours, Demetre said “Maybe from here we should go somewhere else for dinner. Another funny thing is none of us knew those two mutual Facebook friends personally, but I guess we owe them a lot! Demetre proposed 4 months later in the most romantic spot in Toronto – a little bridge in the Harbourfront across from CN Tower”.
“The ceremony took place in Athens Riviera at the Sea Yard Varkiza Resort. We picked Greece for our celebration, because Demetre and I think this country is one of the most beautiful and romantic places in the world. Besides Demetre was born in Greece and never lost the bond with his amazing motherland”.
“Our wedding was a boho beach front destination wedding. The colors were white, turquoise and a touch of purple. My bridal bouquet had white roses and Amaranthus flower, which Greeks regarded as a symbol of immortality because it retains its freshness for a long time after being picked. We added this beautiful flower as a symbol of unfading affection for each other”.
“The tasteful decoration was done by a dedicated group of talented people leading by amazing professional and a wonderful woman, Angela Lada. At The Glam in the City they listened to our major request and have done exactly what we asked for in terms of decor – Elegant and Sophisticated Simplicity with a touch of nature. If the bride is looking for a wedding planner, I would advise her to find the one who will truly listen, and remember that sometimes “Less is More”. The same goes to the photographer, the couple needs to find someone who will feel their personality, who would be sensitive to their needs and taste, who will be willing to be creative and to avoid stereotypes. Another important thing, I hope the bride will truly ENJOY her wedding, will be present every moment, because those memories should be cherished for a long time. The atmosphere of the wedding is more important than the décor”.
