Set on a perfect location on the breathtaking island of Santorini, the boho wedding of Maxine and Lorenz captured by Melissa Milis has pin-worthy details and amazingly pretty red florals that will have you smiling from ear to ear!
The bride shared with us:“We met because Lorenz fixed scooters and my Vespa was broke. I got his number from a mutual friend and Lorenz came over to my house to take a look at my Vespa and see what’s wrong (apparently nothing so I felt really stupid) but he kept coming over since then…”
“When Melissa, our photographer and Jan our videographer took us away from all the people to have our duo shoot on the beach and in the hills. We really enjoyed this romantic get away”.
“He proposed to me on our 4th year anniversary in a carriage in New York. He wanted to ask me with my dream pair of shoes from christian louboutin and a ring inside but it wasn’t possible for him at that moment. He asked the carriage driver to stop and take a picture of us and on the pictures you can see how he started to get down on one knee and when I turned around he popped the big question! He surprised me again during our engagement shoot in Paris by taking me to Christian Louboutin and buying my dream shoes for me. He said he still owned that to me!”
“My bridal bouquet was made of vintage brooches in all shades of pink”.
“Thanks to our photographer Melissa Milis, she came with the idea of having a wedding abroad and said we really looked like a Santorini couple! And damn, was she right! We both had never been there before and thought it would be the ultimate adventure!”
“My wedding dress for the ceremony was a vintage Elie Saab made from beautiful delicate lace and tiny pearls stitched over the entire dress. It was a real princess dress! My second dress was much more bohemian styled from the brand Sadoni and I had a beautiful veil with lace details to go with it”.
“We wanted to find a nice balance between very chic and bohemian so we decided to have a luxurious ceremony at Cavo Ventus and a romantic bohemian party at Theros Wave Bar“.
“I found inspiration and ideas from pinterest was our main source! and wedding blogs of course…”
“Most of the budget went to the flowers ‘cause I really wanted to have a lot of flowers! We kept the rest of the decoration very simple, during the ceremony we only had the flowers and in the evening we also had some beautiful big golden lanterns”.
The bride’s advise:”Enjoy every planning part of it! The day itself is over before you know it. And only invite the people that really matter, don’t care about others reactions, it’s your day”.
