It was love at first sight when I saw all the lovely and colorful details (the wildflower bouquet is so dreamy!) of this rustic beach wedding that photographer Anastasios Filopoulos shared with us. The handsome couple of this beautiful wedding story met on the Greek island of Andros and after 14 years decided to say “I Do!” at a breathtaking location on the very same island… So incredibly romantic!
“My wedding dress is from Laure de Sagazan, a Parisian bridal designer. I believe she has unique and dreamy wedding dresses. My dress was called the “Ruiz” and it was a romantic, ethereal, open back dress with beautiful lace. I absolutely loved it!”
“Our rustic beach wedding had lots of details with olive leaves and rosemary. We wanted the colors to match the surroundings, therefore it was in natural shades. We also had beautiful garlands with yellow details and goldenrod flowers…”
“I knew from the beginning about the rustic wedding style that I was looking for: yellow details and wild flowers… hats for our wedding guests and a lemonade stand with fresh refreshments waiting for them at the church when they arrived. As for the rest of the wedding planning details, I found inspiration from Pinterest boards and from many discussions with my wedding planner… She was, hands down our best decision…”
“My bridal bouquet had garden roses, lavender, white alstromeria, licianthus and aster…”
“We both wanted a summer wedding… the ceremony took place at St. Kyprianos which is a little chapel right by the sea”.
The bride’s advice: “Above all the bride should make choices that represent her and choose a wedding dress and shoes that are comfortable enough for dancing! It is also important to invest smart in wedding vendors, choose what is important for her and her husband, the wedding dress, the wedding decoration, the photographer, the videographer, the wedding music… It is better to invest some money what is more important to her things rather than spread the budget on a lot of things that could be less than adequate in quality. A wedding planner for me is also a must because you really can’t be bothering yourself so much with details on the days before the wedding. It is too stressful. Last but not least not to forget to enjoy every minute of it!”
The bride’s most favorite moment from her rustic beach wedding was: “So many beautiful moments to choose from… seeing all our close friends and family at the ceremony… the first dance… the Flash Mob dance with friends and all the photobooth fun!”
