Just about when you think you have seen it all when it comes to wedding locations, you see this beautiful romantic ferry boat wedding in Greece. Such a unique wedding setting and so romantic! Enjoy every beautiful image captured by Phocaeus Photography.
“We met at the very end of University at our ‘Red & White Ball’ which is like a prom. I saw Leon from afar talking to a friend of mine, walked up and asked to be introduced. And the rest is history as they say…”, the lovely bride shared with us.
“Leon proposed to me late one evening on the rooftop of his summer home in Antiparos, Greece”
Leah looked completely ravishing in her Jenny Packham wedding dress. With silk chiffon and stunning jeweled straps, the “Laurel” gown by Jenny Packham was truly impressive
“We had the ceremony on the ferryboat that usually ferries people between Paros & Antiparos. The boat was a surprise to guests, as we told them to meet at the port. Leon and I were the last to board and we set off. We had some cocktails and nibbles and eventually stopped at this little uninhabited island about 20 minutes off of Antiparos. We docked and had the ceremony there…”
“We live in London, England and some of our family lives in Toronto, and the other in Greece. We have friends scattered all over North America and some across Europe. Wherever the location was, people would have to travel. So we decided to make a ‘holiday’ out of it and have people come to the island. This way we’d have more time to spend with our family and friends”
Leah mention about the ferry boat wedding style: “It was very laid back and relaxed. We had guests travelling in from North America and other parts of Europe and wanted it to be very informal and just a big party!”
The bride’s advice: “Don’t stress, and just enjoy it because it all goes by too fast”
“I guess the best moment(s) was really having all of our families and best friends together all in one place to share this with us. Because it was such a long journey for many guests, most of them made a little holiday out of it. We had activities earlier in the week so everyone got to meet, hang out and socialise before the big day. And more importantly, we had the time to spend with our friends and family and relax a little before we tied the knot”
