Stunning! That word perfectly describes Katie and John’s wedding in Spain, and we just can’t take our eyes off from the beautiful pictures captured by Victor Alaez Photography! The bride brings her vision into life with this indoor-outdoor experience at the gorgeous Anantara Villa Padierna in the south of Spain with pale pink, white and gold touches. The wedding reception was divine: an abundance of lush flowers from Perdo Navaro Floral Art & Event Styling, soft pale colors, and ultra stylish centerpieces at the tables enhanced the romantic vibe, while the chandeliers in the garden area created such a magical night!

«We met at the gym we both go to. Jon had a lovely proposal planned in Dubai but covid got in the way of that, so he had to think of plan b. Jon really caught me off guard and proposed in an escape room. », the bride shared with us.

«Everything was a fairytale all white, pale pink and gold. The bouquets were all white, but the rest of the florals had a touch of pink in too. I did go over the top on flowers because I love them. I even had them hanging from the ceiling at the reception. »

«My favorite moment is when our boys brought the rings down the aisle dressed as security to men in black on the violin. It really surprised the guests. »

The bride’s advice: «Be organized beforehand and then on the day just go with the flow. Only you know what order things should go. No one else notices. »

«I had two dresses, both Berta. My first ultimate fish tale dress made me feel like a princess with the Berta veil too. I need to put this dress on a mannequin in my house, it’s that pretty. My second dress i had the train and lining taken out so it was fun and sexy. I think the seamstress thought i was mad cutting up a Berta. Even my mum wore a wedding dress as my maid of honor. »

«The couple’s decision to have a destination wedding was met with overwhelming love, as almost all their guests made the journey. Over a hundred beloved friends and family members joined them, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. The day was relaxed and joyful; Jon enjoyed a round of golf while Katie and her son Cassius indulged in poolside fun. The bride, with her eight bridesmaids, embarked on a leisurely preparation process, cherishing every moment.»

Truly, there are weddings that will make our eyes pop out and this oh-so-bright rustic wedding is just one of them! A stylish couple chose an outdoor venue enhanced with greenery and romantic details to seal their love. “I saw a Demetrios gown that I fell totally in love, so I choose it..” Laura shared with us looking gorgeous in her flowy wedding gown by Demetrios! The bride shared with us: “We had a summer wedding in Tarragona, Spain. We meet each other by chance. We were having a common friend, but we didn’t know each other. Furthermore, we meet each other on the common friend birthday, it was a fantastic night, where we dance all night long. The next day, by the way, we see each other like a new friend but precisely an intimate friend of each one, told us the same thing in parallel to both: That they have seen something special in our eyes when we look each other. After that specific fact, both start to look at the other, and we start talking. And fortunately we could say “till the day”.”

“The wedding blog Chic and Stylish Weddings helped me to inspire my ideas. I was checking the different weddings, take notes of the most popular ideas for me, and try to copy or implement them into my ideal weeding.”

“Decoration is one of my passion, so I was very implicated with that topic. The style of the decoration was inspired by a wild style, and also we want to create a festival party ambient. So we mix both topics and we create a big “wild” festival.”

“The wedding dress was customized. I saw a Demetrios body that I fell totally in love, so I choose it, but then, what I designed was the skirt… It was inspired also by a Demetrios dress but created specially and with special details for me. I also have a special second dress, it was my mother dress, I customized it a little and when the party starts, and we did the typical dance, I appear with this special dress and with a pair of converse, prepared to the party.”

“We spent the Friday afternoon in Genís village square celebrating games to allow guests to meet each other before the wedding day. Also, the day after the weeding, we celebrate a “paella popular” a lunch typical that is often celebrating in the villages during the summer period.”

“About the wild flowers and style that I was focused, I want all the wedding full of “pampas” and we started to collect by ourselves one year before, due to the fact that the pampas grow up in September, and we keep them during all the year. For that reason, I have “pampas” in my bouquet, and also the groom had “pampas”. Also, I want to emphasize, that all the details of the weeding were devised by us; and we spent part of the year creating all of these details.”

“It’s impossible to choose my favorite moment of our wedding, all the wedding moments were so special.”

Bride’s Advice: “I used to tell them that the most important fact is booked the place where the wedding is going to take the party, the photographer and videographer, and then after you have this booked, then relax and enjoy the process, because it’s also part of the wedding.”

The wedding that we’re sharing today will steal your heart from the very first moment! Laura and Carlos decided to seal their love in a greenery outdoor venue, where they created a cheerful fall wedding with wooden details. Both ceremony and reception were perfectly adorned with baskets, fresh flowers in yellow and white hues and olive leaves. The bride shared with us: “We met thanks to Tinder App and our engagement was in Costa Rica and Nicaragua; we were there enjoying a romantic travel. There we bought two bicycles for riding around the west shore. We had been together for three years as boyfriend and girlfriend, so I proposed to Laura after a special anniversary dinner.”

“After we have got married, we decided not going abroad and spent a few days in Menorca enjoying the place walking around, going cycling and living our new couple life.”

“My wedding was funny, casual and cheerful. It was also rustic, Mediterranean and casual with green, white, wood colors, gold, blue and lemon-yellow hues. The flowers that we picked were daisies, chamomile, olive and rosemary.”

“Our wedding catering was Mediterranean food with a Majorcan touch. Like the cocktail, we choose a rustic corner with Iberian sausages, cheeses and typical meal from Majorca called “cocas”. As a good Spanish wedding, we offered to our guests an Iberian ham and the beers were served in a cart. As the main dish we served pig with “tumbet” (typical Majorcan) and to conclude, a mango and passion fruit cheesecake with a strawberry and lemon frozen drink.”

“When we look at the pictures of our day, it looks like a fairytale. We think it was absolutely perfect and exactly what we wanted. From the ceremony to the party, it was all beautiful.”

My advice to a bride-to-be: “Is to invest in a good wedding planner, they will give you the best supplies and contacts, they will advise you during the process making everything easier and also they will help you to make decisions allowing you to enjoy your wedding day.”

“The memories we have of that day with our friends and relatives are the most precious gift we could have ever asked for. Our families and friends had an awesome time. It was fantastic that both of our fathers were so excited about the people, the music and the food. Our mothers on the other side, walked around with sparkles in their eyes the whole day. And our friends from Switzerland and Spain were having a great time together and danced until the end. It definitely was a once-in-a-life-time experience.”

“My proposal ring was a half-moon with 14 diamonds in White gold made by Rabat, also I wore my grand-grand-mother earrings, and she wore them too in her wedding, as my granny and my mother in their wedding.”

“We chose Joker Catering. First, we had a cocktail with two showcookings (ham and eggs). Then we had a more formal dinner where we were all seated. We also had a presidential table where we sat the couple, parents, brothers and grandparents and then 4 long tables where were friends and family.”

“I went to several places, but I found my dress in Rime Arodaky.” It was love at first sight! When I try on the dress I knew it was THE dress. I was a bit sceptic about people saying that you feel something special when you know is your dress, but in that moment, I knew it. It was my dress!”

“My weddings shoes were Zapatos. I bought them in a store called Lindsay. There are suede pink pale shoes with a 10cm platform. The wedding was in a garden so I wanted to be as comfortable as I could.”

“We met at work. We both worked in a consultant company and we worked together in some projects, so we became friends there. After that, we worked in different companies but were still in contact and we started dating.”

“Annie from Salón Toro is the girl who did my hairstyle. I had a very natural hairstyle because I didn’t want to feel as a costume on my wedding day. She did my make up too, following the natural style I wanted. de mi boda. El maquillaje también me lo hicieron en Salón Toro, muy natural según el estilo que quería.”

“The grooms’ attire was custom made by Señor. One-button suit, a little longer than a traditional suit. It was blue with a small black line on the lapel. The vest was pearl white.”

“Our Wedding was Bubble & Bells (Marta Grau). A friend of Mireia knew Marta since University. We are so grateful for her because she did an extraordinary work. She helped us a lot; we do not know what we would do without it!”

“All the wedding was designed following the same topic. All the flowers were from Flors Bahí. The flower bouquets were olive trees, burgundy wax flower, burgundy astilbe, brunia, burgundy Astrantia and pink roses, the arch of the presidential table was by olive, eucalyptus, pistacia and pink roses and our wedding centerpieces were by olive and eucalyptus garland, pink wax flower and pink roses.

“Photography was very important for us; we wanted to have the best memory of the day. We were searching some time and then we found Sara Lobla. She was the best we found and she kept our style in the photos.”

“There were several details for the guests. The main one is part of the seating, which had the name on wood to identify where each one was sitting which is also a magnet so that you can take a nice detail of the wedding. In addition, there were pai pai fans since it was hot in summer. For the dance we put flats so the guests were more comfortable. As a funny detail, being our initials M & M (like the chocolates) we also gave a glass jar filled with these chocolates.”

Intimate wedding in a beautiful villa | Ana & Lucas

Ana and Lucas fell in love immediately, so they decided to seal their love, become a family and live together in beautiful Galicia in Spain. The two lovebirds chose to create an intimate wedding in Galicia with nine people and two lovely dogs, next to the deep blue sea. After their romantic ceremony in a white small church, the couple and their favorite people celebrated their love in a beautiful villa overlooking the ocean. The reception venue was adorned mainly with white and beige colors, greenery designs, white flowers and crystal details. We really loved the cute floral headpiece that the bride was wearing and her unique Jose Maria Peiro wedding dress! So dreamy!

The bride shared with us: “We met last Christmas, I know very soon! Love is crazy. I am American and lived in America for 25 years, but I speak fluent Spanish and Portuguese. My parents retired early to Spain in 2015 and during that time I traveled many times during the year to see them. One of the times that I came (December of 2015) I met Lucas in our village Celanova. I was from NY, he was from Celanova. I came to Celanova every summer since I was born, and I NEVER met him. And we lived one mile away from each other during the summers.”

“When we met we knew there was something special, apart from being from the same village, there was something in him that made me feel so at home, being so far from my home in America. We saw each other secretly for a few days to avoid drama in the village, and one day he asked me to go to Portugal with him for the weekend. I said YES, he took me to Peniche, α small fisherman town filled with surfing and great food…”

“…I fell in love with him there, just him and I, no friends, no family, no one to judge us, just us. It was the realist thing I had ever felt, and I knew that if I let this man go, my life would somehow be incomplete forever. But I had to leave, I was a teacher in America, I had an apartment, my friends and I needed my routine back. So, I left that Christmas, incomplete. One month later I began emailing schools in Galicia, I got a job AND we decided that we had to give it a try.”

“I left America after I finished the school year, I packed my entire life into 8 boxes and I bought a one-way ticket on Tap.com. It was the most spontaneous thing I had ever done in 25 years. My parents were in shock but so happy for me, they love Lucas like their own child…”

“One year later December 2016, Lucas took me back to Peniche where we had first fallen in love. After having breakfast on the balcony, he proposed and I cried for 20 minutes and kept asking him “are you sure ..??” I said yes and decided on spending the rest of my life with the person that needed to be my husband. Home ended up being right where my life first started — my roots– Spain.”

This is the kind of wedding that everyone would love to be invited and have the opportunity to admire all its’ prettiness! Rebecca and Gary had a beautiful wedding in a luxury resort based in Spain with white houses and lush flowers spilling decorating the walls. The ceremony was just like a movie scene, decorated with green garlands, tulle, petals and white flowers. After the unique ceremony, the couple celebrated its love with an elegant dinner party next to the beach. The decoration and atmosphere of the wedding reception was just magical! Huge flower designs, many candles and gold details adorned the white tables in the most gorgeous way. There’s no doubt this is one truly inspiring elegant wedding from start to finish!

“Gary and I went to the same schools from kindergarden up to high school in Geneva Switzerland, however we weren’t very close back then. While I lived after in France, Israel, New York and London, Gary was traveling and focusing on his career as a race car driver. We reconnected almost 4 years ago thanks to Facebook and the rest is history. On our 3rd anniversary he surprised me with the most beautiful and romantic proposal on a private beach in Thailand at sunset”, the bride shared with us.

“We loved the festive atmosphere in Marbella as well as the Moors architectural influence in this part of Andalusia. We chose the beautiful Hotel Puente Romano, a luxury resort with white houses, blue and white tiles and flowers spilling down the walls , which make you feel as if you are in a traditional Andalusian village by the sea. Moreover, we chose to get married in September and didn’t want to take any chance of bad weather back home in Switzerland, so Costa del Sol was a safe bet.”

“As we were getting married in Spain, I chose a Spanish designer, Pronovias for my wedding dress. The team recreated and customized a dress form their collection. The dress had a dramatic veil cape and a long-embroidered train.”

“DJ and I met through mutual friends while out in Chicago (where I am originally from). We were both in relationships at the time but stayed in touch and reconnected a couple of years later when the timing was right. DJ was living between Dallas and Chicago and I was living in Chicago. We had a long distance relationship for a year before I made the move down south (to Dallas) to be closer to him.”

“To say I was surprised when DJ proposed is an understatement. I had absolutely no idea, which made the day incredibly special and memorable. The proposal took place at DJ’s parent’s house in the country in Scotland. We were taking a walk through the forestry on their property, which is a common activity we both enjoy when we are in Scotland, when I noticed he was being a bit quieter than usual. The sun was close to setting and we came to a beautiful little lake. I turned around and he held out the box with the ring. The rest of the evening was a blur.”

“We love to travel and always knew we both wanted a small and intimate wedding. DJ took me to Deia a few years ago and I’d never experienced anything like it. It was so peaceful and beautiful yet unpretentious. After thinking of places that had a special meaning to us, Deia stood out.”

“The best idea was our decision to get married in the church. There were other places we could’ve had the ceremony on the propertyand around Deiathat would’ve been pretty but the church was incredibly old and beautiful. I feel very special to have had my wedding there.”

“DJ found our coordinator while looking into music for our reception. She was so organized and helpful we knew she would be an incredible asset to planning our big day and we were right. She was wonderful.”

“Since the wedding took place in Spain and was mostly outdoors, I really wanted it to have a rustic feel. The hotel was an old olive press so I wanted olive branches incorporated into everything from the bouquets to table settings to my bridesmaid’s headdresses. For my flowers I chose all white roses and freesia flowers with olive foliage. I’m more of a minimalist and didn’t want anything to take away from the beautiful backdrop. We also used lemons hand picked from the hotel gardens and tied nametags to them to give a pop of color at the table.”

“Obviously it all depends on the circumstances but I didn’t think getting married abroad was as stressful as I thought it would be. Since the village we were married in was small, we knew what church we wanted to get married in and having our reception at Belmond La Residencia made our lives easier. We would definitely advise starting the planning process early because the paperwork involved in getting married in Spain took quite a while to process.”
