Sarah and Colin sealed their love in one of their favorite places! Corfu was the ideal place for them because of its beautiful natural scene and the view of the clear blue sea. After getting engaged there they wanted their family and friends come to this island and celebrate their love all together. The pale blush wedding was mainly fun and relaxed, decorated with blush and white flowers combined with some greenery. The couple didn’t choose a theme to let the venue spoke itself so some candles and some flowers with garlands were enough! Enjoy every single moment of this beautiful wedding captured by Studio 27 by Andreas Politis!
From the bride: “We met on a night out in Dublin in May 2013. Colin proposed on Agni Beach in Corfu in July 2016. It is one of my favourite places in the world and it was perfect! We celebrated that evening in Gouvia and Colin had booked a suite in the Art Hotel DeBono. Julia in the DeBono really looked after us and they had our room decorated with flowers, fruit and chocolates; such a nice touch!”
“We had a legal ceremony in Dublin a few weeks before the wedding and we had our symbolic ceremony in the garden at Vasilakis Mansion in Sinarades, where we held the reception also. Our multi-talented wedding planner Aris from the Belli Momenti conducted the ceremony, and it was so lovely and personal to us. So many people commented on how special it was.”
“It wasn’t what I thought I would pick for my wedding dress, but I went with an open mind. Anna in Alice May Bridal Boutique suggested I tried it on me and Mum loved it right away. I love the simplicity of the cut and the detail in the beading, and I stayed cool even though it was so hot.”
“We have always loved Corfu and after getting engaged there we couldn’t think of anywhere more perfect. We loved the idea of having our family and friends come to this island that we love, to celebrate with us. When we got in touch with Aris we found he really understood what we wanted in a wedding venue and we really didn’t have to see too many. Vasilakis Mansion ticked all the boxes and we loved getting to know Doreta and Pani (who live there), they were so good to us.”
“We didn’t have a concept, but we focussed on keeping the sentiment fun and relaxed. The venue is so beautiful that we needed to add little colour, so we kept the flowers white and blush with some greenery. We didn’t choose a theme as the beauty of the venue spoke for itself. Some beautiful flowers and candles were all the decoration we needed. I also wasn’t keen on getting into too much DIY as I couldn’t carry very much over from Dublin (and I’m not very good at it!) Aris looked after all the decorating and the whole place was stunning.”
“For my bouquet I asked for some pale blush and white flowers, combined with some greenery. Leonidas Rammos – Floral Structures made stunning bouquets and arrangements. I looked on Pinterest for inspiration for flowers, hairstyles and bridesmaid dresses.”
“It is a cliché but it really is hard to choose just one favorite moment! I loved the morning of the wedding; the excitement and anticipation and watching the whole set up outside while I was getting ready with my mum and the girls. I was full of butterflies and no stress knowing that everything was in Aris’ safe hands. Walking down the aisle with my dad and finally seeing Colin was incredible and I was surprised by how much I loved our first dance (as I was dreading it!) especially when the fireworks went off.”
“It is such an amazing time, and one you will never have again, so enjoy every minute and celebrate every milestone. Don’t stress over little things and most of all remember you are getting married!”
