Hannah and Caleb renewed their vows in major Mamma Mia mood – with dramatic sea and mountain views from famous chapel Agios Ioannis in Skopelos! This lovely church where many scenes of Mamma Mia were filmed there stands on a top of a rock and provides spectacular panoramic views. Hannah chose a white crop top wedding dress with unique embroideries for this special day, overflowing with happiness next to her husband. Wedding Love Memories Studio captured all the emotions of the day as you will see the gorgeous images below! Prepare to be transported to a Greek paradise, it will simply stop you in your tracks!
Hannah shared with us: “We got married in Summer in Skopelos island. We met through Instagram (a true modern couple!). Caleb had been following me on Instagram for quite a while. He knew my sister and he was also a fan of my college roommate’s music. However, he never reached out to me until my grandmother passed in 2019 to offer his condolences. His kindness surprised me, so I asked my sister about him. My sister was immediately thrilled to hear that Caleb had messaged me. She spoke very highly of Caleb, and she even convinced me to reply with a more forward message offering him my cell phone number. After a few months Caleb patiently persuaded me, we both knew we had met the person that we wanted to marry. One year later, Caleb proposed to me with my Grandmother’s wedding ring to signify the role that she had played in their relationship. Caleb proposed to me in Rhode Island at a beautiful lighthouse on the coast. Lighthouses now hold a significant meaning to us as couple because we know the other person is always guiding us to who we want to become”.
“For our vow ceremony in Skopelos, we only had a small bouquet of daisies surrounding a single sunflower. We both love the movie “Mamma Mia” (I am suspicious that Caleb only likes the movie because of my love for it). Therefore, we wanted our vow ceremony to feel exactly like the movie- spontaneous and minimal. I was following the wedding blogs Love4Weddings, EverAfter and Chic and Stylish Weddings and helped me to get inspiration and ideas for my wedding.
“Reading our vows to each other while standing at the Agios Ioannis Chapel was my favorite moment. Both of us were able to share our feelings so freely due to the intimate nature of our ceremony. I wore a long-sleeved, two-piece dress from Free People”.
“My advice to a bride-to-be is: Don’t be afraid to do what YOU want! Even if it is different or crazy. This day is about you and your husband”.
