The lovely bride shared with us: “We met at university when we worked in the same bar together… he proposed to me on an isolated beach under the moonlight in Mexico…”
“It was a really relaxed ceremony. In fact, we let the bridesmaids and groomsmen choose the colors they wanted to wear. We knew we weren’t going over the top with decorations because the venue was so beautiful on its own, so our friends actually got a really big say in the way our wedding looked in the end. Which is great – we live for our friends and family, so wanted to involve them as much as possible. I’m pretty chilled out so was happy for them to contribute…”
“My bridal bouquet had peonies and olive leaves… I couldn’t have imagined it would look so beautiful”.
The bride was wearing a beautiful chiffon Amanda Wyatt wedding gown with delicate guipure lace and beads (the wedding gown actually has an amazing 1900 delicate beads on it! “My wedding dress was a dreamy Amanda Wyatt dress called Amelie. I needed something lightweight for the weather and something I could move in – whatever happened I was dancing the night away. It was perfect, fit the venue incredibly and the detail was insane”, the bride told us.
“My wedding planners – The Twelve Events – were fantastic. I shared my Pinterest board with them so they could see my inspiration and they sent suggestions over to me – we really worked together to create something beautiful. They created the table decoration for me when we visited them in Athens a year before the wedding and were happy to let me tweak the design there and then to come up with something perfect”.
“The wedding decoration was really simple, rustic, with a lot of olive leaves interspersed with white flowers in vintage metal cups and grapes on the vine on the tables. The wedding arch was rustic canvas decorated with white flowers and greenery. We had old metal lanterns on the floor and completely covered the roof in hanging candles and paper lanterns”.
“The whole day was just beautiful! From my cousin performing the ceremony to the speeches but the party was amaaaaazing! We had an open bar to say thanks to everyone for coming – I would definitely recommend – the guests all appreciated not spending a penny on the day!”
The bride’s advice: “1. Relax. You can’t get caught up on every small detail – it will drive you insane and I can guarantee that you won’t pay attention to them on the day anyway! 2. Get an amazing DJ – that will make your party. Showtime were incredible and gave us the night of our dreams. Don’t leave that dance floor! 3. Soak up every minute. Our night lasted until 6:30am the next day and it still didn’t feel like long enough! 4. Take the stress out of the day and get your hair and make up done. Margetina, my makeup artist, was wonderful and those pictures last a lifetime! Trust me, it’s worth it…”

Hey, does anyone know of make up and hair artists in Sifnos? I’m getting married there on the 6th September 2018.
Thank you 🙂
