Is there anything classier and more romantic than getting married in Italy? Tamara and Johns destination wedding took place in Tuscany and we are in love with every single detail! The couple exchanged their vows in a picture perfect location with a stunning view of the green gardens of the beautiful venue Lupaia, that certainly can take your breath away! The gorgeous photos by Vanessa and Ivo Photography are going to make you want to hop on a plane Italy-bound!

«We met in San Diego California. Our connection dates back to 2008 when our daughters were both part of the same competitive soccer team. They played together for a couple of years before taking different paths, leading us to lose touch for several years. However, fate had other plans, and a serendipitous encounter brought us back together nearly a decade later. The rest, as they say, is history» the bride shared with us.

«John chose the picturesque setting of Paso Robles, California, to pop the question. We were seated beneath the shade of a magnificent 100-year-old oak tree, nestled in the heart of a vineyard. Savoring a bottle of wine, he seized the moment and asked me to be his forever. The charm of Tuscany, with its reminiscent beauty, played a significant role in our decision to elope there, capturing the essence of the place where our engagement unfolded.»

When you have the rolling hills of Tuscany and the backdrop of Montepulciano as your ceremony backdrop you do not need much in the way of decorations, but we made sure that all the elements we did include were inspired by the rustic charm and natural beauty of the Tuscan countryside. We wanted simplicity yet elegance.

«My favorite part of the decoration details was the private balcony off of our room that was turned into a Tuscan fairytale by our floral designer. We had olive branches and greenery from a Tuscan vineyard that was installed overhead on the balcony overhang with tons of hanging candles to create the most romantic lighting. The same olive branches, greenery, and candles were placed all around the balcony from floor area to our dinner table, the cake table, etc. »

We enjoyed reading Chic and Stylish Weddings and learning about the beautiful stories and weddings you featured. It inspired us to really be intentional about making sure our day was a representation of our love and our story.

«I was originally inspired by the timeless and simple elegance of Carolyn Bessette wedding dress when she married JFK Jr. Although their wedding took place many-many years ago, her sense of style is a work or art, and her wedding dress is a timeless beauty… »

The bride’s advice: «Craft an experience that revolves entirely around your love story. Opting to elope and later celebrate with a grand reception back home allowed us to seamlessly dedicate the entire day to ourselves. Despite the intimate elopement, no corners were cut in terms of details or expenses. Every element typically found in a traditional wedding – exquisite decor, a stunning venue, and all the customary features – was present. However, the key difference was that it was just the two of us, relishing a moment of undivided attention and devotion. Having both experienced the grandeur of large weddings in our previous marriages, we recognized how easily the focus can shift towards entertaining guests rather than celebrating the essence of the couple. In contrast, our elopement spared us from such considerations, enabling us to channel 100% of our energy and focus exclusively on our love. Our decision to embark on a second journey into matrimony allowed us to curate an authentic experience tailored solely for us. The absence of external expectations meant we could truly immerse ourselves in the creation of a meaningful and personalized celebration. This was an opportunity to honor our love story in a way that felt genuine, profound, and true to the unique connection we share. »

Whimsical intimate wedding in Tuscany with rustic details | Jammie & Giovani

This whimsical, intimate wedding in Tuscany, bursting with romance, is downright dreamy. Jammie and Giovani decided to seal and celebrate their love with an unforgettable wedding of about 20 people in one of the dreamiest locations in the world! Surrounded by Tuscany countryside, the two lovebirds had a wonderful ceremony at the Historic Medici Villa of Lilliano, perfectly decorated with greenery floral designs, pastel fresh flowers and rustic details. A long, wooden table was set in the middle of the greenery gardens of the villa waiting the couple and the guests to spend an unforgettable dinner and party. Adorned with florals in red, pink and white hues and illuminated by Italian lights, the result was simply magical! We double dare you not to get swept up in this breathtaking destination wedding!

From Alberto e Alessandra: “The spouses are Jammie and Giovani, two lovely guys living in California but originally from Mexico. They met when they were 18 and 19 and they have grown up together. Jammie studied for a while in Florence and so they wanted their families to experience a bit of what they love. This is the reason why they organized their wedding in Tuscany.”

“It was a small intimate wedding of about 20 people, very romantic, whimsical and magical, exactly as they wished it to be. They got ready in two different apartments in the city center, where they stayed with their guests. Then they headed to the venue, the historic Medici Villa of Lilliano, just outside the city. It is a villa that in the past belonged to the important noble family of the Medici, the lords of Florence. The ceremony was held on the terrace overlooking the Tuscan countryside. At the end of the ceremony the bride and groom wanted to make a surprise gift to their guests: a real Mariachi Band, who accompanied them during the aperitif and dinner, as is traditional in Mexican weddings.”

“The dinner table, full of flowers and illuminated by Italian lights, was wonderful! The atmosphere was intimate, familiar … many of the guests wanted to make their wishes to the newlyweds through speeches at times funny and at times extremely touching and moving. Obviously, the cutting of the cake and the dances, always outdoors, could not be missing.”

“For the couple’s photo session, we moved to a nearby olive grove (which is always part of the property) and then to the main garden of the villa itself, near a beautiful and scenic fountain.”

Today we are travelling to the beautiful city of Tuscany in Italy for the rustic summer wedding of a lovely couple! The two lovebirds exchanged their vows under a beautiful flower arch in a luxury country resort in the heart of nature. The day was filled with greenery and wooden touches, rustic details, candles and fresh flowers in pastel hues which created a dreamy scenery and an unforgettable celebration of love. The bride was so beautiful in her gorgeous wedding dress holding an impressive bridal bouquet in white and somon hues combined with greenery. The bride shared with us: “When setting out to plan our wedding, we knew that the three most important things to us were: delicious food, lots of laughing, and a beautiful backdrop for photos. With the help and direction of our planner Alessia, we got all of it plus some! Tuscany was the very first place we visited together, and it continues to hold a special place in our hearts and bellies. Alessia shared some remarkable venues with us, but none compared to the Locanda in Tuscany. When we drove to the venue for the first time, two days before our wedding, my heard skipped a beat. It was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. We had 58 guests traveling from 5 different continents, and each person shared that it was one of the most beautiful places they had ever been or seen. We couldn’t be more thankful to all of our vendors for making our day, truly the best day ever.”

“Six years, one week and one day before our wedding, we met on a rainy night at a late night bar in Philadelphia. Imen tapped me on the shoulder, got my number, called three days later, and left a voicemail asking me to dinner. On our first date, we quickly uncovered that we were both third culture kids, Americans raised oversees, with family spread all over the world. I immediately felt at home, and the rest is history.”

“When I began shopping, I fought all things bridal and was certain I’d end up with a gown that wasn’t white. With little luck, I took a trip to Lovely Bride Philly, put on Winston by Sara Seven, and that was it. I fell in love with the fabric, the way it moved, the soft clean lines and the attention to detail. The dress was perfectly understated, and I knew that it wasn’t just perfect for me but that it would be perfect for our venue.”

Today’s couple decided to tie the knot in this beautiful Italian city and their wedding is just beautiful. The lovely couple exchanged its vows under an elegant flower arch with flowers in pastel hues and ivy, a symbol of eternal love! Both the gorgeous indoor ceremony venue and the reception venue were decorated with ivory and white hues with a hint of pink. Ceremony decor was all on wedding Chuppah design which was classy and traditional as Emily and Elliott asked me for, white drapes of tulle and romantic decor with ivy (which is symbol of eternal love). Stunning Emily walked down the aisle carrying her elegant spring hand tied bridal bouquet with white ranunculus, which looked gorgeous with her amazing embroidered bridal gown”.

“Elisabeth and Michael’s special day was filled with meaningful details, and The Tuscan Wedding absolutely loved planning their beautiful start to forever! The couple’s rustic chic style was whimsically elegant and could be found in every corner. Their intimate ceremony was held beneath a dazzling chandelier hanging from a tree in the villa’s garden. Michael waited for the arrival of his bride wearing khaki colored dress pants, a light grey double-breasted jacket with suspenders and a trendy bowtie. After the entrances of her six bridesmaids, Elisabeth was escorted by her father while they walked down the aisle to an instrumental of Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years played by Wedding Music & Lights. Her gown featured a mesh and lace covered bodice with an open back and layers upon layers of tulle, creating a full and flowy skirt. “A live trio featuring a vocalist, acoustic guitar, and double bass filled the air with beautiful music that the guests joined in on singing. It was such a beautiful moment captured by Studio Bonon and Emotional Movie. The couple was married by the bride’s father underneath a glistening chandelier in this heartfelt, symbolic ceremony, followed by a personalized prayer from her mother and father. Afterwards, the newlyweds exited the garden hand-in-hand to Coldplay’s Something Just Like This, as the wedding celebrations officially began!”

“The classic Italian styled aperitif was held in the villa’s outdoor pool area, which was a perfect location for this particularly hot summer day. Guests of all ages could cool off by dipping their feet into the pool water to escape the heat. Classic breads, cheeses, and cold cuts were displayed and catered by Eventi & Cucina, as well as delicious drinks. A fun touch to the area was a photobooth provided by Funny Booth that featured an array of fun props and signs for guests to use to personalize their photos. The Tuscan Wedding absolutely loved these details that made Elisabeth and Michael’s day extremely memorable!”

“At the end of the aperitif, guests were redirected to the front of the villa for dinner that featured a seemingly endless tablescape with greenery displayed throughout the length of the table. Candlelight accents were perfectly placed on the table, as well as hanging lights in the tree overlooking the bride and groom’s seating area. To top it all off, wooden signs were placed on the back of their dinner chairs saying “I Love Him” and “I Love Her”. So cute! Within this whimsical setup, guests then enjoyed dinner catered by Eventi & Cucina including conchiglioni pasta, rosemary risotto, beef fillet with roasted potatoes, and a scrumptious lemon basil sherbet.”

“Following dinner, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a delectable tiered cake with strawberries and whipped cream in the villa’s amphitheater with drinks, coffee, and fresh fruit provided as contributions from the guests were made on behalf on Elisabeth and Michael. After this touching and lighthearted event, the couple then had their first dance together beneath a beautiful chandelier in the amphitheater to Ed Sheeran’s Perfect as guests surrounded them with love while holding sparklers. This created such a picture perfect moment and was a wonderful start to the end of the night festivities that were held inside the breakfast room of Villa Le Piazzole as DJ Matthew played all the hits that the guests absolutely loved”.

A little bit dreamy and a whole lot beautiful, this wedding is simply goals! Taymi, the bride, was truly impressed by the worldwide famous San Galgano Abbey, so she decided with her other half, Jovan, to create an intimate civil ceremony there. This incredible gothic church built in Tuscany, it was the ideal place for such a timeless wedding. After their ceremony, the couple and their beloved ones enjoyed a magical dinner under the atmospheric light of the stars and the candles. Linda & Giuseppe sealed their love with a wonderful summer wedding in magical Tuscany in Italy! They chose to have a sophisticated wedding with bohemian elements and a relaxed atmosphere. Bohemian means flowers… many flowers! So, the bride picked to decorate her hairstyle with a cute flower wreath that matched her flower bouquet. From the bride: “We met at a party hosted by a couple of our common friends. We have been together for more than 6 years now. We have travelled together and set up home in 3 countries while travelling for work together. Giuseppe proposed to me on one of our most memorable holidays in Florence, Italy. It was the most wonderful setting on a fine Italian summer evening. We had been together for so long we are a strong team and very committed to our life and future together. How did you allocate your budget? For us the priority was to celebrate with our loved ones, spend time with them and make sure all of them enjoyed our wedding and make memories to last a lifetime. So, we allocated our budget based on what was most important to us.”

“I’m not comfortable with the concept of wearing a dress once and wasting the beauty of it; so the dress was a pre-loved dress by the designer Rime Arodaky purchased from stillwhite.com. She matched my style perfectly by being quirky and yet capturing the feminine elegance perfectly. My shoes were from a place called Chinese Laundry and accessories were from a local wedding boutique where we live. But my best accessory was the beautiful flower crown made by our florist.”

“The suit was custom made from local store Aobaba Tailor in Hoi-An, Vietnam. This suit has a special place in our hearts as we got it on a 3-week holiday in November 2015 and it was our companion throughout our holiday. My only bridesmaid and maid of honour was my sister. We got a dress designed for her in her favourite colour; blue from the local wedding boutique I got my accessories from.”

“The ceremony took place in Fattoria e Villa di Rignana, Tuscany, Italy. We were looking for a weekend wedding at a picturesque country house. After searching across many countries, we found the Fattoria e Villa di Rignana in Tuscany and it was love at first sight. The Villa was built in the 1700’s and was perfect for our small wedding party to spend a perfect weekend together. It also housed a beautiful chapel with a frescoed ceiling where we held our ceremony.”

“The biggest surprise was how overwhelmed I got when I saw Giuseppe at the altar. Even though we have been together so long and we were very prepares and committed to spending our lives together; that moment made me so emotional and so content at the same time.”

“I would say our wedding was a perfect blend of sophisticated style with beautiful bohemian elements. The atmosphere was relaxed and the events flowing in a natural flowy fashion making it fun and comfortable for our near and dear ones. We wanted a very romantic setting but in a subtle manner. As the florist Marie Lou and I hit it off immediately we locked in on elegant but understated colours like greens, whites and pinks keeping in mind with the natural beauty of the location. We chose seasonal flowers like peonies, Bombastic and O’Hara roses, wax flowers, olive branches and eucalyptus.”

“The location at which we wanted our wedding weekend to be was our topmost priority. We have splurged the most on that to set the mood for our wedding and making sure all out guests were absolutely comfortable. The second thing was the food. We are so grateful to have found Tonino for our catering, as we are both vegetarian and needed a fully vegetarian menu. He left our guests a 100% content. The third equally important thing was our photographer. A photographer is the only person who can make memories last for ever in the way of pictures. So, we had no qualms in splurging on the photographer. We did however, save a lot on decorating the place by using seasonal flowers, because the location and the décor of the venue itself was naturally fabulous.”

“Duesudue was our first only choice. We fell in love with their natural and spontaneous style when they shot my sister’s wedding in 2015. We were very keen on getting candid and natural pictures and not posed ones. They captured the essence of our wedding so perfectly”, the bride shared with us about the photographer.

“The chapel was already so beautiful we used simple wax flowers and eucalyptus bunches. The garlands for the table were made from the O’Hara roses and smelled divine. As I was not afraid to go big on my crown we decided to use peonies for it. We got very a simple cylindrical cake from Sugarcups; topped with the same flowers as my bouquet, pink peonies and white roses. All our stationary was from Midorilla stationery and wedding favors were handmade by Papabubble and we got the stickers and seals from Etsy. We love adding personal touches, so we designed the stickers and wax seals we put on our wedding favors. We then got them made on Etsy.”

“We had 70 of our dearest friends and family who flew in from 7 different countries with us. We took about 9 months to plan our wedding. We are both vegetarian, so it was very important for us to have a full vegetarian menu. Despite having no meat or fish, our caterer Tonino ensured our guests were completely satisfied. We had some Avocado and pomegranate crostini, mango spring rolls with cilantro-avocado dipping sauce, grilled veggie kabobs with green goddess dressing and pickle caprese salad kabobs, mushroom ragout with fresh herbs, etc.”

“We are both big lovers of music and that was a very important aspect for us. Live music was very vital and we got a swing- folk band from Florence. Their music was a modern blend of traditional ballads of Tuscany. We had an amazing DJ, Andrea Ribas who made all our events full of life from the ceremony till the end of the reception at 5 AM. Our band created such a fun informal atmosphere for us. That being led on by our DJ kept it so full of life that our guests danced the night away till 5 AM next morning. This just showed how much our loved ones enjoyed our wedding and that was the best part.”

The wedding we’re sharing with you today will mesmerize you! Falon and Ken had a gorgeous wedding with rustic style and earthly shades. The couple decided to exchange vows in a field full of olive trees with the breathtaking view of the mountains as a background. After the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a delicious meal in a friendly, warm venue with wooden details. Olive leaves, candles and some pink fresh flowers were the main decorative touches! We really loved the bride’s stunning wedding dress with flower patterns, transparency and tulle. Winter wedding in Tuscany | Rachel & Jimmy

Today’s wedding brings us some beautiful vivid hues proving that even a rainy, cloudy day can shine! Rachel and Jimmy decided to create a wedding in magical Tuscany, a place with spectacular hill towns and breathtaking natural scenery. The dominant colors of this wedding were red, green and white, so both ceremony and reception were decorated with white and red roses, eucalyptus greenery leaves and many candles. Despite the rain, this gorgeous wedding has the warmest mood ever! Enjoy the unique atmosphere through the following photos!

Red wine Tuscan wedding for Rachel and Jimmy who live in San Diego California and decided to get married in Tuscany countryside during a cold day of December surrounded by family and friends.”

“Me and Rachel worked closely since beginning of early stage plan to match bridesmaid dresses with bouquet of anemones and white ranunculus, result is under your eyes, it’s beautiful. Stunning and smiling bride opted for red wine amazing color palette for her bridal bouquet which I definitely love considering amazing Red bridal Piano roses as main flowers simply blended with eucalyptus greenery leaves. Jimmy the groom opted for an elegant tuxedo and funny socks with red fox.”

“Bridal colors party are to die for, amazing burgundy dresses for Rachel eight bridesmaids and white anemones and ranunculus on their bouquets. Ceremony was indoor with a simple set up of lots of candles along the aisle and a squared arch decorated with white drapes and greenery. Reception also was indoor with two long tablescape decorated on rustic Tuscan style with long garland of green and ranunculus and white anemones blossom.”

From the bride: “We met through mutual friends! He was a groomsman and I was a bridesmaid in our friend’s wedding and we hit it off that night on the dance floor and started dating not long after! We were engaged in June 2017 and married in December, 6 months later!”
