This wedding in Santorini could not have been more idyllic; magnificent view, beautiful lilac details and a lovely couple are more than enough! Tina and Jeremy chose to get married at the beautiful island of Santorini, surrounded by their family and closest friends. Lovely details in lilac and white and lilac roses complemented the beautiful natural scene, and composed a gorgeous setting!
“Jeremy proposed on our two-year anniversary together as a couple. On that day, he took me out for dinner at Clos Maggiore. While we were away from home, he got his sister putting up candles and flowers to decorate our home. When we returned home, there were candles leading from hallway to the bedroom. I walked in and was so pleasantly surprised; there was a huge heart and ” I love you” made with rose petals. While I was in shock, he went down on one knee and presented the stunning ring and asked me to marry him. I was so touched and excited, I missed all his speech and just said ” yes yes yes”, the bride shared with us.
“The ceremony took place in Santorini. Jeremy and I wanted a “beach wedding”. We love the scene of the ocean and we wanted a relaxing time for all our family and friends. The Aegean Ocean is pronounced as “Ai Qin” Ocean- the same with the word Love “Ai Qin”. It’s a romantic name for the water and good meaning for the wedding to take place. The venue oversees “sea of love”, everything was white and blue and dreamy”.
“The style of our destination wedding was elegant and the main color was lilac. We found inspiration and ideas on Pinterest and Instagram”.
“My bridal bouquet had white roses. I picked everything in lilac to bring a bit more color to the natural scene. The venue and the view are breathtaking, it hardly need anything else, it was just beautiful. We used ‘forget me not’ white roses and lilac roses for all the decoration and lilac stationary was picked to work with the white dinning take. Everything was kept clean and elegant”.
“The entire experience was amazing. If I must pick the best moment I would say it was my father’s speech. His speech was emotional, and every word came from his heart. I think all guests were touched”.
“My advice to brides-to-be: plan for unplanned events and leave enough time. Don’t be perfectionist and just enjoy the time (including the planning)”.
