We are so excited today to feature the re-imagined wedding of wedding blogger Elena Saia, the lovely wedding blogger behind Wedding Wonderland, a beautiful Italian wedding blog!
The wedding style
I got married three years ago and founded Wedding Wonderland while planning our day. We had a 50s inspired outdoor wedding, full of colors details. If we got married again tomorrow I think it wouldn't be much different. I like to imagine a romantic woodland wedding, very intimate with just family and close friends, full of organic details and pops of color.

Color palette
I'm always drawn to vibrant colors when it comes to weddings. I think pinks, reds, maybe a touch of yellow and of course green with a lot of foliage.

Wedding dress and shoes
When I got married I wore a short 50s inspired dress, made by my grandmother. This time I'd love to wear a long gown and maybe a touch of color. I'm thinking about a blush dress with a tulle skirt and short sleeves, very soft and romantic like this beauty by Reem Acra!
I'd pick shoes that I’d love to wear again, like a lovely pair of Valentino Rockstud.

Bridesmaid dresses
I'm in love with the crop top & skirt combo! I think something in peach or coral would be lovely.

Wedding ceremony & reception
I had an intimate outdoor ceremony under a tree and I'd do the same once again! A big tree in the woods, with a simple decor.
For the reception I imagine a long wooden table, lots and lots of fairy lights, vintage china, colorful flowers, like dahlias, garden roses and coral charm peonies.

Unique ideas
We had a time capsule at our wedding and we really loved reading all the messages by our guests on our first anniversary. They had fun writing them too! So I think I would have more time capsules, to be opened one year, 5 years and 10 years after. Or a date jar, where the guests could write their suggestions for our future date nights.

Wedding favors
I'd choose something natural and beautiful like plants or flower seeds. Succulents that double up as escort cards are one of my favorite ideas.

Entertainment ideas
We didn't have a band or DJ at our wedding; I made our own music playlist with songs from the 50s and 60s and everybody loved it! I think I would do something similar again. Then lots of dancing barefoot and a Polaroid guestbook which is always fun.

Honeymoon
A few days of relaxation on the beach and then something more adventurous, like a road trip. We'd love to explore the U.S. especially California!
