«We met at a BBQ restaurant in Memphis TN, we were both living in the state for work and had a mutual friend visiting who invited us out for dinner. After 3 years of dating, we moved to NYC with our pets. On a February morning, Nickos took Mia for a stroll at Central Park and proposed at the iconic Gapstow Bridge. », the bride shared with us.

«For our wedding we wanted to incorporate soft blues – this can be seen in our draped arch and the bridal bouquet. We love hydrangeas, delphiniums, and roses! We were hoping for an elegant, romantic, and intimate setting for our ceremony and reception as our group was very small. We loved having the candlelit dinner with our close family underneath the olive trees, while the sound of ocean waves and peaceful violin/cello melody from One Cello N a Half played in the background. We enjoyed a delectable 6 course dinner from 2CHEFS Gastronomy Catering that consisted of elevated local cuisine and seaside ingredients. It was a dream come true!

«We met during a summer holiday abroad, even though we lived in the same village and went to the same school, 11 years ago. We fell in love with each other and after that summer we were inseparable. «Although we grew up in the same town our whole lives somehow our paths never crossed. It wasn’t until our mutual friend groups both rented houses at the Jersey shore for the summer that we actually met. We were strictly friends for a couple of years before that friendship turned into more. We are big travelers and try to explore new cities as much as we can, so in the summer after 4+ years of dating we took a trip to Alaska. We took a small plane excursion to see some of Alaska’s glaciers and the pilot was able to land so we could get out and explore. So, there we were on this remote glacier when Frank proposed! It was a magical, scenic, one-of-a-kind moment that truly is unforgettable. », the bride shared with us.

Our venue pretty much spoke for itself with their floral garden and the ivy all along the walls, so we wanted to choose flowers that complimented what already existed.

There was a moment that hit us throughout our wedding when we were overcome with emotion recognizing that all of our closest friends and family traveled across the world for us and really taking that in. We loved that we could give our guests a full experience with 3 days of wedding events with hopefully memories that would last a lifetime!

From Lefkas Weddings: «Ben and Lauren from the UK married in Lefkada at the end of September 2022 with 90 guests. They got engaged at Christmas 2020 and wanted to get married in Greece. We showed them several villas on the island, and they fell in love with a villa private estate with its own olive grove and tiny chapel. Situated on the north-west coast of Lefkada with panoramic views and surrounded by olive and fruit trees gave the rustic feel that they were searching for. The theme was timeless green and white florals with a pop of orange reflecting the autumn pomegranate trees on the estate. The bride’s bouquet was a mix of white Ecuador roses, mini orange roses, astilbe, eucalyptus and ruscus. The bridesmaids wore sage green dresses, and each wore a wrist corsage of white roses and hypericum berries. The ceremony was in front of the little chapel with white fabric draped in the old olive tree and a flower column. Stationery was designed for the wedding with a map of the estate, and they named each part of the day in memory of their various grandparents. They wanted a personal ceremony which was written by celebrant Michaella Chatziagelou and included a blessing from each mother. For makeup, she chose soft smokey eyes and bright red lips to accent her beautiful features. Music was an important investment and feature of the day. They chose Sax Tom to accompany them down the aisle and play smooth vibes for the drink’s reception. The evening party was on fire with the rock tunes of the Athens-based band, Yakuza Six. Pre-wedding cocktail evening was held at Maraboo on the east coast of the island, and the couple arrived separately, taking a luxury speedboat cruise down the coast from Lefkada. »
