Romantic spring wedding at Columbia Beach Resort | Stephani & Michalis

Any wedding at Columbia Beach Resort is going to be wonderful since it is such an amazing location for destination weddings in Cyprus and it definitely has all the elements to create such unforgettable setting for your special day! Stephani and Michalis tied the knot in the unique chapel at the resort, with Byzantine inspired murals in vivid colors designed by English painter, John Corbidge. Their hotel wedding reception was beautifully decorated with garden flowers and potted plants were given to the guests as creative wedding favors (we absolutely loved that idea!). The couple shared with us that their wedding theme was inspired by their walks at Canterbury. Such a beautiful idea!

“Every day I research through so many articles about interior design, tablescape ideas and other wedding related articles. Because of my work, it’s something I like to do and find inspiration from them. Certainly, the site Love4Weddings played a big part in the entire process. I don’t remember exactly but I believe I discovered our wedding photographer Maria Mintsidou through the Love4Weddings Instagram account.”

“The chapel we chose to get married in was beautiful and something unique, so we decided to highlight the austerity and beauty without needing to decoration with additional flowers. One of my favorite elements of the wedding decor were the wildflowers that we used outside the church to create the aisle. It was definitely something original and very beautiful, since the wildflowers you find in the spring are beautiful!”.

“For me, my most favorite moment was when I walked down the aisle with my dad, listening to my favorite song and I saw Michalis waiting for me! For Michalis, his favorite moment was the ceremony when the priest put on our wedding rings…”, the bride shared with us.

“We met in Calgary, Canada – I’m Australian and he’s Canadian. I was living in France at the time and went to Calgary for a short work stint when I met Allan and I ended up staying until we moved to Australia together a year later! Life is full of surprises and meeting him has been one of the best ones yet!”, the lovely bride shared with us.

“Allan proposed in the Hunter Valley, Australia. He completely surprised me with a helicopter ride over the wine country and then a private lunch at the Leogate Estate overlooking the vineyards; that’s where he proposed. It was a dream come true and I felt like the luckiest girl in the world!”

“We chose Santorini for our destination wedding for a couple of reasons. It’s without a doubt one of the most beautiful places on earth, and we knew right away that if we had our wedding there it would be magical – and that it was! Santorini is also a great half way point between Canada and Australia, which was important for bringing our friends and family together. It turned into an amazing Greece trip surrounded by our loved ones!”

“We really didn’t use too many decorations for our wedding. For the ceremony we had two large flower arrangements on the table – matching my bouquet, and everything else was in white. The Dana Villas wedding venue overlooks the Caldera, it’s the most beautiful backdrop for our wedding, and not much more was needed! Our reception was also held at the Dana Villas wedding venue. We had the whole area decorated with candles that lit up our dinner perfectly. We chose gold rimmed table and glass wear, along with the white and green flower arrangements from the ceremony…”

I found my dress, the Tara gown, on a pinterest post and was so eager to try it on that I made a trip to the Gold Coast for an appointment at their studio. The moment I tried it on I knew it was the one. Their dresses are timeless, simple and elegant. The girls at Grace Loves Lace are also incredible. I couldn’t recommend them more!”

“We were set up by a mutual friend and met on a blind date. Eight months later, Olimpio took Christine to a lake in Central Park. He rented a small boat and after rowing in the lake for a little while, he surprised her by getting down on one knee (not an easy thing to do in a rocky boat!) and asking her to marry him. She said yes!”

“The ceremony took place in Oia, Santorini, on a beautiful terrace at Canaves Hotel. Our photographer George Pahountis took us to the most scenic spots (some of which required hiking and getting out of the way of passing donkeys!). The best moment of your wedding:“When Olimpio saw Christine coming down the stairs and when Christine joined Olimpio before the ceremony began. Also after the ceremony, we were sitting at the terrace of Canaves Hotel waiting for our dinner to come out and we were marveling at the beauty of the Santorini sunset!”

“Our flowers had pink lilies, peach and lavender roses, with dark berries for contrast. Our wedding planner, Maria Sila from Tie the Knot Santorini, tended to every detail. Everything was simple but elegant. Beautiful flowers adorned a wooden arch and we sat at a dinner table with a light pink tablecloth that matched the color of the Santorini sunset that evening. Subtle gold accents were present in the table settings and chairs. We tried to keep the decor simple and understated… with breathtaking views like that, who needs much decoration?”

Monemvasia is definitely one of my favorite places in Greece. With the cobblestone streets, the old mansions that have an amazing architecture, the stone walls and the famous castle, it is truthfully a location that could be taken out of a fairytale. And that is exactly what the destination wedding of Theoni and George reminds me of… a true fairytale.

“The entrance to the venue was decorated with romantic lighting, candles and lanterns. Because the back drop was so beautiful, I wanted the décor to be minimal so as not to take away from it. Our tables were set around the pool area which was decorated with lanterns and floating candles. String lights surrounded the entire area. The tables and chairs were plain white. The tables themselves had a circular mirror at the centered with three different sized glass vases filled with water and floating flowers and candles. Flip flops and pashmenas were provided in case of it getting colder and for dancing”
