Be still my heart! This classy, sophisticated and glamorous wedding in London is overflowing with so much prettiness! I literally have spent the entire morning swooning over all the incredibly gorgeous images captured by photographer ASFIS PHOTOGRAPHY…. and I am still trying to figure out which one is my favorite…
Christina shared with us her beautiful wedding proposal story: “Sotiris is a car dealer who runs his own business and he told me that someone who had come to look at a car worked in VIP theatre experiences and offered him a 2 for 1. He called me on his way home from work on the Thursday and asked me if I would like to go to the theatre on Saturday evening to see Phantom of the Opera (it’s our favourite musical!). He said there was a VIP package he’d got from someone who came to view a car… Of course I agreed and couldn’t wait! We went to the theatre, we were greeted by our personal butler who gave us our programmes and showed us to our private pre theatre room called the Royal room where we relaxed before the show and enjoyed champagne and canapes”.
“We were ushered to our seats for the start of the show. We watched the show then were shown back to our private room for the interval where we enjoyed more champagne and canapes. Sotiris asked me to check inside my programme as there should have been an invoice for the VIP package and at the same time pretended to go to the loo. As I opened the envelope inside were some beautiful words from Sotiris and his proposal to me asking me to marry him- as I looked down, he was in front of me on one knee! Of course I said yes!”
“My dress was a Maggie Sottero wedding dress. It was a fishtail style dress with lace and customised Swarovski crystals. I also had a veil and a train made for me with added crystals”.
Christina and Sotiris planned their white and navy blue wedding in London. “We live in London so it wasn’t far from most of our family and friends (except those who came from abroad); but I’d always wanted a London wedding!”
The wedding ceremony took place in the The Greek Orthodox Cathedral Church of All Saints in Camden, London.
The wedding colors were navy blue and white and Christina describes the style of her wedding in London as: “Classy, sophisticated and glamorous”.
The best moment for Christina was: “Apart from being pampered… getting my hair and makeup done… it was when my husband and I were announced officially married! Such a lovely feeling!!!”
“I don’t know which was the “best decision”, but my favorite things were: my dress, our cake and our production/decor. The “worst decision”… I can’t think of one and I don’t regret any decisions I made. Everything was absolutely perfect! I spent a long time planning and trying to ensure all the decisions made were the best choices. You only do this once, so to me it has to be everything you want on your special day”.
“As soon as we saw our wedding venue, The Landmark London Hotel we both loved it and wanted our reception there. It is a beautiful venue!”, the bride told us.
“I wanted the room to look striking and have the wow factor. On the navy and white color scheme, I chose navy floor length table cloths with white chairs and navy bows. The fireplaces had candles on them. We had ice blue up lighters around the room and white pin spot lights on the tables. Dance floor was white with sparkly led lights. White floor to ceiling draping on the window bays”.
“Flowers were white with a tinge of pink- roses and hydrangea’s, and the flower centre pieces on the guest tables were a mixture of fish bowls and a gorgeous arrangement of flowers on a see through vase with flower balls hanging down and crystals”.
After having her perfect classy, sophisticated and glamorous wedding in London, the bride shares her advice: “Be organized, keep on top of your paperwork and try not to stress too much!”
