What is not to love about a wedding in Italy, especially when it takes place in such a gorgeous setting like the Castello di Petrata, a beautiful wedding venue in amongst olive groves and green meadows. «The rolling hills of the Italian countryside are so lush with greenery, so we decided to go with soft pastel blues and pinks and shaped my bouquet in a free-formed style to give it more of a romantic whimsical feel…» the bride shared with us and we couldn’t agree more! From the pretty pale colored florals, the elegant decoration at the reception and the heartfelt moments captured by Francesco Gravina, Maggie and Frank’s wedding in Italy is definitely a must-see!

«Although we grew up in the same town our whole lives somehow our paths never crossed. It wasn’t until our mutual friend groups both rented houses at the Jersey shore for the summer that we actually met. We were strictly friends for a couple of years before that friendship turned into more. We are big travelers and try to explore new cities as much as we can, so in the summer after 4+ years of dating we took a trip to Alaska. We took a small plane excursion to see some of Alaska’s glaciers and the pilot was able to land so we could get out and explore. So, there we were on this remote glacier when Frank proposed! It was a magical, scenic, one-of-a-kind moment that truly is unforgettable. », the bride shared with us.
Our venue pretty much spoke for itself with their floral garden and the ivy all along the walls, so we wanted to choose flowers that complimented what already existed.

«The rolling hills of the Italian countryside are so lush with greenery, so we decided to go with soft pastel blues and pinks and shaped my bouquet in a free-formed style to give it more of a romantic whimsical feel. Our absolute favorite part of our decorations, and must-haves, were the long serpentine tables and the chandeliers. It added such a unique, romantic element that really elevated our dinner setting. Our vintage car also was a classic touch! We truly were in awe of how it turned out! »
The bride’s advice: «If you are planning a destination wedding, hire a wedding planner! This took so much stress off of our plate and made the planning process relaxing and enjoyable! Don’t settle, if you have a vision articulate that to your planners/vendors even if you have to multiple times. You deserve to have your wedding day exactly how you dreamed! »
There was a moment that hit us throughout our wedding when we were overcome with emotion recognizing that all of our closest friends and family traveled across the world for us and really taking that in. We loved that we could give our guests a full experience with 3 days of wedding events with hopefully memories that would last a lifetime!

«Although I tried to keep an open mind while wedding dress shopping, I had already had my heart set on going with a Milla Nova wedding gown. I knew I wanted a timeless modern look and the bows on the straps and my pearl veil gave me that dreamy bridal feel. »
