This wedding in Crete feels like a dream come true! Britt and Carlos tied the knot in a beautiful city, Rethymno, and NM Events filled the day with such romantic details we are swooning since we laid eyes on this wedding! A floral garland with white and pink roses in the ceremony area while the reception was decorated with lovely centerpieces and white candles, that definitely made the setting dreamy. Crete was the perfect choice for couples’ destination wedding and we just can’t wait for you to see all the carefully curated details!

«We were college sweethearts. Our love story began in college at the University of Georgia. We caught each other’s eye in our junior year business classes. Our first date was breakfast at Walker’s Coffee Shop before class and there was immediate chemistry, at least enough to warrant a second date at a more exciting location! Then we were college sweethearts all our junior and senior years. The rest is history! The Proposal. It has been an exciting seven years. We have loved traveling the world together and call Atlanta home. We got engaged in our favorite city, Rome, while on a romantic picnic in the Gardens of the Villa Borghese. Our shared love of travel led us to want a destination wedding. Greece is a perfect fit for us since we’ve never been there, my grandparents were married in Greece 60 years ago, and who doesn’t love Mamma Mia! », the bride shared with us.
«We wanted the flowers and decoration to be timeless and compliment the natural, rustic beauty of Agreco Farms. Our goal was to create a romantic environment with beautiful flowers and candlelight. With the wedding being in Spring, we embraced seasonal flowers in white and blush hues with a touch of natural greenery. The bridal bouquet included my personal favorites, peonies and roses. Once the sun set, the fairy lights that were strung through the olive trees made the evening even more magical. »
«The entire wedding weekend was such a dream come true. Being Greek, getting married in Greece brought my “Big Fat Greek Wedding” and “Mamma Mia” fantasies to life! The Grecotel White Palace kicked off the wedding festivities as both the location for our pre-wedding events and where our guests stayed. Major shouted out to Irina and the staff who made our stay wonderful and facilitated our Welcome Drinks and Rehearsal Dinner. I stumbled on Agreco Farms, and we fell in love with the rustic vineyards and olive trees overlooking the sea. We took a leap of faith booking a wedding venue without seeing it, but Maria and the Agreco Farms team were extremely helpful and made the planning experience easy. Not to mention the amazing food! The culinary experience of organic, Cretan cuisine made a lasting impression on us and our guests. I cannot imagine picking a different wedding venue, it was truly perfect! Niki from NM Events took our wedding inspiration and transformed it into such a magical experience. We could not have done it without her! Her expertise helped make the entire day seamless and let us focus on being in the moment with our loved ones. »
«My wedding dress was inspired by Agreco Farms. I wanted a romantic dress that was fit for a European vineyard. It was a form fitting with detailed lace and pearls. I wore family heirlooms from my Yaya, a gold hair piece in my bridal updo and gold bangle bracelets. »
«It is true when they say your wedding day goes so quickly! For destination brides, planning a wedding weekend made a memorable experience for us and allowed us to spend quality time with our guests. Taking advantage of your guests traveling to an amazing destination with pre-wedding events will make the wedding day even more special. A wedding planner is a must for destination brides, especially if you cannot see the venue until wedding week! Niki from NM Events, was extremely helpful in providing vendor recommendations, scheduling local transportation, and planning out every tiny detail to make the wedding day perfect for us. The last and most important advice I would give to brides planning your wedding is to stay true to yourself and do what you want! It is so hard deciding to do a local vs destination wedding and wanting to make everyone happy. It is easy want to lose track of what you and your groom want for your special day! »
