After their beautiful and stylish engagement shoot in New York Andréa & Giannis planned their dream country style wedding in Greece! A romantic and ultra chic fall wedding in Kyparissi, a beautiful and authentic fishing village in Laconia.
The pictursque village Kyparissi is situated in the Peloponnese, on the Myrtoan Sea coastline. It is definitely one of the gorgeous locations in Greece to plan a destination wedding. The bride mentioned to us:“We fell in love with its beauty the first time we saw it. It is also very close to Giannis’ village, and since his village doesn’t have any hotels to accommodate our guests, we had it in a neighboring village”.
“I got ready in the honeymoon suite. Justin, my two older sisters, my mom, my sister-in-law, mother-in-law, aunt were all there and there were many family members that were coming and going to see the bride get ready. I left the door unlocked so people could come and go as they pleased. The only two people who couldn’t see me were Giannis and my dad!”
Andréa’s advice to other brides planning their wedding: ” Pinterest is your new best friend for the entire wedding planning process. Start making a music playlist now. Each time you hear a song on the radio (or wherever) that you want played at your wedding, write it down immediately. And last…on the day of the wedding, don’t let anything or anyone bother you. There will definitely be little hick-ups and you definitely won’t make everyone happy, but who cares?! It’s about you and your man, and that’s all that matters. The wedding is as fun as the couple is…”
Make Up Artist, Justin St. Claire did an amazing job with Andrea’s bridal makeup.
“We have been together since we were sixteen years old; we’re high school sweethearts. He is the man of my dreams and the love of my life, and this day had been awaited for a very long time!”
The groom was wearing a stylish Ralph Lauren suit.
While the bride was getting ready, the groom sent her a sweet letter, sharing his thoughts moments before their wedding.
Andréa’s wedding dress was an elegant Pronovias mermaid style dress with guipure appliqués. She looked stunning!
“Here comes the bride”…
Andrea told us that the most beautiful moment of the wedding was when she saw Giannis waiting for her at the church: “My heart sank… He looked so incredibly handsome, and every second walking towards him felt so right. Being his wife makes me feel so proud!”
The wedding decoration by Georgina’s Events Stories was elegant and stylish with olive details and white lisianthus flowers.
“Instead of a guest book we had our guests give us suggesstions on where we should travel to next. We framed a sign that read, “Where should we go next? Please share with us the places you have fallen in love with. Write as much or as little as you want, just don’t forget to write your name!” On this same table we had framed pictures of our parents and grandparents from their wedding days. I got both of these ideas from Pinterest”, the bride told us.
Honey jars as favors were a perfect idea for this country style wedding. As the bride mentioned: “Before leaving New York for Greece I had bought little honey jars, ribbon, and dried lavendar. We had arrived one week before the wedding and we filled each jar with honey from the village, tied the jar with ribbon, and accented it with a few sprigs of dried lavender”.
The song of their first dance as husband and wife was “Angel” by Jack Jackson: «I’ve got an angel, she doesn’t wear any wings, she wears a heart that could melt my own.. she wears a smile that could make me want to sing…»
