The fall wedding in Cyprus of Anna and Alex was absolutely dreamy… just like a wedding that literally jumped out of a storybook fairytale. Anna looked gorgeous in her ballgown wedding dress and we are completely smitten with all the stylish wedding details!
For her bridal makeup, Anna wanted a natural look with earthy tones and more attention given to her eyes. As for the bridal hairstyle, she mentioned : “I wanted an elegant bridal hairstyle that would look beautiful with the hair accessory I had chosed to wear.”
Anna wore an elegant ivory wedding dress by Christos. Scattered across the lovely skirt were hand embroidered primrose flowers, each one embellished with a delicate crystal bead. So pretty!
The elegant fall wedding in Cyprus had succulents in most of the wedding details: in the modern wedding invitations, on the wedding favors, on the wedding cake… in the reception flower arrangements… even on the bride and groom dining tableware!
The wedding flowers that Anna wanted for her special day were anemones, thistle, multicolored wild flowers and aromatic plants such as spearmint.
“It meant alot to me and Alex to have our dog travel with us from America to Cyprus and to be with us during the most important moments of our life…”
The most touching moment for Anna was when: “ I arrived at the church and saw Alexandros waiting for me and holding Gino, our dog.”
Anna shared with us one of the funny moments she remembers from her wedding day: “As we were exiting the church, our best man showered us with a whole sack of rice!”
The fall wedding in Cyprus had white colored details with additional brown, green and blue touches. The reception table decoration had succulents, the signature wedding flower.“The wedding favors were small jars with cherry preserve made by my grandmother. The jars were also decorated with succulent designs. We gave our wedding guests the table flower arrangements as gifts before they left!”.
A lovely wedding reception followed at the Elea Estate. Anna shared with us: “Our wedding had a lot of personal touches and we truly wanted to share with our wedding guests many of our experiences and moments from our life in America. We had cocktail hour with signature drinks… one for the bride and one for the groom. Sparkling wine with hibiscus flower was the bride’s signature drink and homemade mandarine juice for the groom. The dinner menu was also planned to reflect our experiences with new cuisines in San Fransisco”.
“We have alot of beautiful moments to remember… The most precious one of all was our first dance together as husband and wife. We danced to our favorite song… and we had practised for this dance for two months!”
Anna’s wedding advice: “After all the wedding preparations, the bride should be calm and enjoy these unique moments. There are some things that she cannot control (for example the weather)… at the end of the day, the only thing that really matters is the commitment of the couple in the presence of friends and family”.
“During our wedding day we didn’t even notice that our wedding photographer, George Pahountis was there… he managed to capture all the important moments and even the smallest details. The result was incredible and we could have not been happier!”
Jemma - You Mean The World To Me
Such an intimate and beautiful wedding – long tables and family-style dining is my favourite.
