The wedding we are sharing today overflows elegance and romance! Devina and Andy decided to tie the knot with a classy celebration, full of flowers and chic details. After an impressive ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a luxurious dinner and a party in a royal ballroom. The venue was perfectly adorned with a soft color palette, fresh flower centerpieces in white and pink hues and crystal touches. We fell in love with every single detail and especially with the glam look of the beautiful bride! Simply stunning! Prepare to get inspired through the following images!
The bride shared with us: “We met in Rowland High School 10 years ago. He was a senior and I was a junior. We were happened to be in the same class for that one spring semester when he passed me a paper note (smart phones were not booming back then). He sat two seats in front of me and we would passed notes during lecture that entire semester!”
“For the propose he brought me back to the first dining place we had during our college years at BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood. I thought we were just having a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Little did I know he had ordered me a ring and bouquet of roses. I remember the waiter was just finished taking our order and walked away when another server approached us with wine and bouquet of roses. I thought that the two dozen of bouquet of roses was random. I was surprised and confused at the same time. I looked back at him and that’s when he knelt down on one knee and pulled out a ring box to propose. Thinking back, I’m still amazed that he had a planned proposal knowing that he’s not naturally a good planner, he’s more of a winging it type of a person.”
“What I love the most about him is his ability to consistently make me feel exclusive at all times. He makes me feel special and loved. I also adore his honesty and trustworthiness. He is the most passionate and optimistic person I’ve ever met. He works so hard to be good at what he does and to show people that he cares. He is a man I can constantly learn from as we both grow and take care of each other.”
Andy shared with us what he loves most about her wife: “It’s hard to choose just one, I love everything about her. She is the purest human being I have ever met. She is smart, kind, beautiful, considerate, and compassionate. She gave me reasons to love, to live, to smile, and to hope. From the very first time I saw her until now, there is no doubt that she’s my greatest happiness. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t because of her.”
“The most important piece of advice for creating and maintaining a strong relationship is to never take each other for granted. Always appreciate and respect each other. Remember the good old days and be willing to compromise.”
“A white classy ball gown has always been in my mind. I’ve also been in love with off-shoulder and lace pieces, so those were the first thing that I told my designer. A dress traced with pearls, crystals, embroideries, and tulles. A style that hopefully will never faded as the time goes by. My wedding gown was a made-to-order dress by a family designer from my hometown, Karma Gyalpo, that my family has worked with for quite a while. Executing an out-of-country process was definitely not easy. There was never a dress fitting session for me. Everything was done through phone chat and video, from providing him my size measurement to choosing the fabric, from sharing the very first sketch to the final result, my designer would update me the progress by sending images and videos periodically.”
“For my wedding day I envision a classy and romantic style. We were thinking about having an outdoor wedding at first, garden or winery wedding. However, after a second thought, we agreed that it’s probably not a good idea to have an outdoor wedding during winter. We started to search for ballroom venues when Millennium Biltmore Los Angeles crossed our mind. It was the place that we had our high school prom 10 years ago and so we decided to tie the knot in the same place.”
“The first dance was our favorite moment from the day. It was such an emotional moment. It felt as if the world stopped turning and it was just the two of us dancing the night away.”
Advice to future brides: “Start planning early. Wedding planning can get pretty overwhelming at first, but the earlier you get onto it, the less stressful it will be. The first to-do list would be to get a rough guest list numbers and next find the perfect venue accordingly. Getting help from family and friends would be wonderful as there would be a lot of things to be prepared for the big day. However, if your venue required a wedding planner, then things should be organized and taken care of quickly. Bridesmaids should be your biggest support throughout your wedding planning process, so choose the girls wisely. Last but not least, remember to always take a step back and relax in between as wedding planning can be stressful. Always remember the most important meaning of wedding – it’s marrying the love of your life!”
