Today, we’re sharing with you the special wedding day of a gorgeous couple in Corfu. Spiridoula and Manolis decided to seal their love on a summer day in a narrow, traditional chapel. The day was peppered with many fresh white hydrangeas and greenery and other romantic decorative details that decorated beautifully both ceremony and reception. Hanging candles and candlesticks created a romantic, warm atmosphere that make the whole experience unforgettable! The bride shared with us: “The wedding held in Corfu, on August. The ceremony took place in Agias Annas Aleimmatadwn chapel and the reception in Kantoni Estate.”
“The theme of our wedding was based on the idea of greenery. In particular, the fabrics we chose, as well as the favors, the invitations and other decorative elements, were in the shades of grayish-green. Furthermore, the flowers we chose, which consisted of eucalyptus, olive, pistacia and white hydrangeas, were in the same natural shades.”
“One of the reasons that made us choose this specific chapel is its location. The chapel is in the village that I’ve born and raised, so following the tradition, the wedding happened in bride’s hometown. Except from that, it is a very beautiful and romantic chapel, narrow, where its yard is in the green and perfectly matched with our wedding style.”
“For my bridal bouquet I chose baby Vendella roses, white freesias and hydrangeas.”
“The flowers that dominated the decoration were white hydrangeas. Τhe basic decoration of the church was the garland that was adorning the front door, the two large amphoras in the entrance and the candlesticks placed on the table. The tables were also decorated with bouquets of white hydrangeas, pistacia, olive and eucalyptus, favor-boxes and many candles in the same greyish-green color that dominated in all the decoration. My favorite spot was the bridal table set up on a well, over which were hanging a lot of candles and flowers. We also gave special emphasis to the lighting of the estate, creating a romantic atmosphere.”
“From the blogs Chic and Stylish, Love4Weddings and EverAfter, I got too many ideas that helped me organize my own wedding.”
“All the wedding, including preparation, the wedding day and the following days was unique and I feel blessed for what we have lived. However, if I had to choose one special moment I would choose when entering the reception area. It was playing the song ‘Fireballs’ of Pitbull, fireworks were falling and our friends were waiting for us standing in the dance area holding sparkles. When we got to the dance area, we took a lot of hugs, followed by a small party that was just the beginning of the evening.”
My advice for a bride to be: “For a bride who is starting to organize her wedding, my advice is to leave the need and do what she has really imagined! Τhat’s what I followed, I lived absolutely every moment and felt what is summed up in one word: HAPPY!”
