Today we’re sharing a winter hygge wedding that will give you all the warm, cozy vibes! A talented team of vendors created magical scenes inspired by the Hygge lifestyle. Hygge is part of Danish culture and represents the feeling of coziness, well-being and the enjoyment of good times with good people. Megan and Nathan wanted something comfortable for their special day, so they created an intimate wedding with autumn color tones, surrounded by an idyllic landscape and decorated with many candles and soft pillows. Get ready to get lost through the following video!
From Alberto e Alessandra Fotografia Italiana: “It is a winter inspiration shoot in HYGGE style, which we realized last year (January) on the mountains near Verona. The idea of this inspiration shoot came up from one of our biggest passion: the Hygge lifestyle. So, we thought it could be a great idea to render the hygge way-of-living also in the wedding world. Hygge [HU-GAH] is part of Danish culture and is a term that means “being with loved ones in an intimate, serene and welcoming atmosphere”. Hygge, more than a style, is an emotional state.”
“Our aim was to create an intimate and comfortable atmosphere for the wedding day, trying to make everyone feel at ease. Together with a talented wedding planner, Claudia of Verona Wedding Party, we built the project of a symbolic intimate elopement between two guys: Megan and Nathan. They are a real couple, young beautiful and deeply in love.”
“This adventure began from the search for the right venue. Location is definitely a key element for the type of wedding we had in mind and Tenuta Le Cave was perfect. It was well furnished, with a Nordic style and a fundamental element: the fireplace. We also wanted to involve big suppliers for our project. Megan’s wedding dress, by Atelier Emè, fully embodied all the hygge elements (soft materials, white color) and had an extra detail in the long sleeves in tulle. For Nathan we wanted something more comfortable than the usual groom’s suits; so, its soft clothes, a jacket and a sweater in cachemire, were provided by Falconeri. Every element has been studied in every detail: the invitations, the menus, the wooden place cards have been handcrafted by the talented calligraphy Martina Bianchi Design and the original handmade wedding rings in red gold, were realized for us by My Golden Age jewelry. We also wanted to add warm plaids, soft pillows and lots of candles everywhere, and some hyggelig perfumes.”
“With this shoot we wanted to provide inspiration to anyone who’s organizing an intimate and warm wedding. This is why we have taken great care of the fittings and details, which we think are particularly suited for a winter wedding.”
