Jana and Dimitri travelled from America to tie the knot with a wonderful spring wedding in Santorini! This gorgeous Greek island with the breathtaking views was the ideal destination to host their celebration of love and all their friends and family travelled from all around the world to be with them. The bride shared with us: “We met at a mutual friend’s house. It turns out that our friend was playing Cupid and it worked! Dmitri proposed 40 months later. I thought we were going out to a nice dinner like we do once every month, but when I got home from work, I saw little messages written in sidewalk chalk on the entire walkway to our front door. The last message on the front porch said “Will you marry me?” He secretly recorded the proposal on video and it is a really special memory! Our friend who set us up ended up affiliating our wedding – it was perfect!”
The bride shared with us: “The concept of the wedding was to let the beauty and elegance of Santorini speak for itself with small accents of springtime flowers in peach, light pink, light blue, and white.”
“The entire wedding felt like a dream, but the best moment (aside from saying “I do”) was looking at our closest friends’ faces after the ceremony and seeing all the love and happiness with us. We weren’t able to have our families with us, so our destination wedding guests were all of our very best friends who traveled halfway around the world to celebrate with us. It was so special to have them there!”
“Surprisingly, I found my wedding dress online and I was able to have it customized by a seamstress to make it perfect! My wedding dress was a maxi style dress with a flowy skirt and plunge neckline. The top of the dress was custom beaded with pearl beads, rhinestones, and sequins. The dress was light and airy, which made it perfect for traveling from the United States to our beautiful springtime wedding in Santorini, Greece.”
