“We met on a dating app when I was finishing my paediatric dental residency. We dated for a few years before he proposed in Hawaii in February 2021. It wasn’t a total surprise as we had looked at rings together, but he did surprise me with a photographer to take our photos on the black sand beach!”, the bride shared with us.
“I wanted the flowers and decor to have a more neutral vibe so as to not take away from the natural beauty of the island. I picked all white flowers for the bouquets and decorations. The flowers were a mix of white long stem roses, white calla lilies, white chrysanthemums/dahlias, a few white phalaenopsis orchids and white fern. I loved the way that Wedding Wish styled the flowers for the ceremony and the reception. I especially loved the twinkle lights set up over our long table to set the romantic vibe for the evening!”
“My most favourite moment was walking down the stairs to wait to enter the ceremony area with my dad. It felt like such a surreal moment in my life to be standing there waiting to step into this next chapter in my life in a setting as spectacular as Greece with my husband and our families. When I made eye contact with my husband at the end of the aisle, it was a moment I will never forget”.
“The wedding gown was the dress of my dreams! I bought it at a bridal salon in Dallas, and it was the most perfect fit for a wedding dress for a destination wedding in Greece! We had the designer make it a custom design with detachable sleeves for the reception for a subtle second look! I have never felt more elegant or beautiful in anything else I have worn”.
Bride’s advice: “Try not to sweat all the small things and details because no one will notice them except for you. Ultimately, you need to do things that are most important to you and your partner. Try to take time to enjoy the day and evening and step aside to allow yourself to be fully present in the moment with your partner”.
