Jenny and Lee made the wedding of their dreams with the backdrop of the beautiful blue sea and the natural beauty of Island Athens Riviera! The couple from Dubai wanted a marriage by the sea, and the special love and relationship they had for Greece made this location the ideal destination for thein wedding. Enriched with bronze, geometric and marble details, their decoration was modern and elegant at the same time. The location was full of greenery and became even more like a fairy tale with candles, flowers and a beautiful arch of greenery and protea, this exotic flower we love to see at weddings. Be inspired by this lovely wedding that was also featured in the Love4Weddings magazine!
“We met three years ago on the 8th October, when I moved to Dubai. Lee had already lived there for three years. It was one of those love at first sight moments where we knew we would end up together. We moved in together after a week of dating. He proposed on the 27th May 2017. I am half Greek (Greek father + Irish mother). We have been going to Greece to visit my family every year. Lee loves Crete, the food the drink, the people. We straight away said if we don’t have a wedding on a Greek island it needs to at least be next to the sea. Therefore, when we found Island Art & Taste, we were beyond thrilled!”
“I was after a sexy but elegant and modern wedding dress. I wanted it to be flowy with an impressive open back and a deep plunge found just that in Athens. My dress is custom made from BBoutique”.
“The concept of the wedding was modern & elegant with copper and marble features. We straight away fell in love with the combination of the modern copper tones and the elegant shades of marble. The combination was exactly what we were looking for “Elegant” , “Modern” and had the Greek element of Marble!”
“I did do a bit of research on the wedding blogs Love4Weddings, EverAfter and Chic and Stylish Weddings at the start of my planning and I found the blogs very useful”.
Bride’s Advice: “Try and enjoy every moment of the wedding planning and the months that lead up to the wedding, it is so exciting, and when the big day comes enjoy every moment of it!”
“My bouquet was an elegant combination of white and pink peonies”.
“The best moment was when we entered into the room after the ceremony as a married couple and we had all our family and friends there raising a glass to congratulate us, we had fireworks go off at the same time, we felt emotional and so very happy!”
