Anneta and Giannis got married in a vintage styled wedding in the beautiful city of Xanthi, the city with the one thousand colors.
«I adore the other decades and I absolutely love anything that is vintage. It was crucial to me that the wedding reflected my personality and taste».
The custom made vintage wedding dress was exactly how she planned it would be. During the wedding dress fitting, the bride mentions: “I felt amazing because it was exactly of what I had dreamed it would be and it was “me”… during the last fitting…I cried and got emotional because for me it was truly perfect”
The bridal hairstyle was a creation of the mother of the bride.
Really and truly an impressive and delicate bridal gown with hand stitched lace. The train of the dress had ivory lace and tulle.
The bride’s advice’s to other couples planning their own wedding: “The advice of a much stressed out person like me is….for the bride not to stress at all. I personally tried hard not to stress on my wedding day and to be honest I am amazed that I wasn’t! Everyone told me that I was so relaxed on my wedding day!”
The groom chose to wear a modern suit from the D-Squared collection.
The ceremony was held at the Church of Theou Sofias in the center of the Xanthi.
A unique wedding idea was the “Here comes the bride” wedding sign held by the cute flower girl.
The most beautiful moment for the bride was “it is difficult to pick one moment…all of them were precious, from the preparation, the ceremony to the lively party that followed!”
The bridal bouquet was very impressive! It had a wonderful collection of freesias, lysianthous, button roses, orchids and eucalyptus. A tres chic detail was the vintage broach.
The wedding color palette that Anneta chose had white and pastel colors.
Giannis proposed during their vacation in Skiathos. As the bride describes: “while we were eating at a restaurant with friends, Giannis sat beside me, knelt down on his knee and gave me a box…I didn’t see what was in it…I thought he was joking since I saw him gulp down his wine…obviously to gain confidence…” And she continues: ““Then I saw the ring and I understood…I was looking at it for three minutes before I realized it was real. Of course I cried…and the entire restaurant started to clap and cheer!”
The flower girl dresses were short and had pastel satin ribbons. Each flower girl held a different kind of wedding prop: one had the ring pillow, another had the wedding sign and all the others had baskets with roses and rice…
Even the decorated wedding car had a vintage feel.
The reception took place at the Apollon, where the wedding décor was handled by the decorator Smaro Emmanouilidou. For the wishing table she used a secreter and the guest wish book was handmade and covered with lace.
Anneta and Giannis entered their reception with the song “Viva la Vida” and they then danced to “Emeina Edo” by Stelio Rokko.
“What made me so happy was the sight of everybody enjoying themselves and having a great time! How can your wedding not be unforgettable for you?”…the bride mentioned with nostalgia.
A very touching moment that the bride remembers is when “my younger sister sang a song for us…it was a very touching moment for all of us…”. Real moments that will remain as the sweetest memories for Anneta and Gianni.
