Pompon Story shared with us: “When we first imagined the concept of this styled shoot , what we had in mind, was a mountainous lanscape or a picturesque village, snowy with their magical fog during winter period , to host an intimate destination winter wedding . A winter wedding with an elegant dinner party to follow consisted of a traditional high quality menu ,hot chocolate near the fireplace ,good wine until the early hours and love. The beautiful chalet, in Anilio Ski resort of Perfecture of Ioannina in West Greece and the mountainous surroundings , was the ideal place to build this project. Based in the whiteness of snow and the misty atmosphere outside , we used a warm color palette inside in order to create the ideal contrasts . The hues of terracotta or otherwise ”baked earth” came to an harmonious antithesis with the snow covered lanscape, white & black details and neutral colors in flowers, combined with textures of velvet, fur and cotton, offered, in their entirety, all that coziness we wanted. For the decorative styling , modern elements got mixed in an elegant chic scenery. An impressive ceiling, made with macrame technique, quilted through a metal construction, had been hung from the wooden roof, in the centre of the dinner table. The table was totally covered with velvet in terracotta hue and under the light of black candles looked ready to host the love of the couple and their guests. The table setting was consisted of gold and black dishware ,while white napkins, with a handmade macrame ring and the menu card, in handmade white paper with black wax seal on the top, offered refined details. Details that we also loved were the Master chairs by Kartel, combined with white fur or the acrylic boxes that were filled with cotton flower, handwritten with calligraphy, that composed the name labels in the dinner table. The trilogy of impressive wedding cakes, placed in an ethnik style black console, matched entirely the color palette while their symbolic meaning was to represent the naked earth ready to bloom, the rocks of the mountains and the whiteness of snow filled with colored snowflakes to fall. The handmade papers of the stationery suite, the mixed colored wax seal with black and white & the sketching of cotton and mountains in the envelope was the ideal stationery to engrave our inspiration on paper. The bridal dress, in nude tone, was embroided in the top with 3d flowers and swarovski , while bride covered up with a cape made by tule and embroided flowers looked airy in the snowy landscape.
