“We chose July 16th as our wedding date on purpose because it has always been a special day for us. Our first date was July 16 in Montreal, Canada and exactly 3 years later we got married in Kalamata Greece”, Jenna shared with us.
“We wanted our wedding to be timeless and elegant with white florals, gold details, chandeliers and most importantly a beautiful view. We also wanted to include details that reflected the local culture as well as Bardia’s Persian background. Our party favors were from Jenna’s families olive groves. We included a Sofreh Aghd which is a Persian traditional wedding ceremony spread made up of many symbolic items such as a mirror, honey, spices, sugar canes and more”.
“Loved looking at Love4Weddings for inspiration and different vendors that could help bring my vision to life. Through Love4Wedding we found our photographer, George Pahountis”.
“The fireworks during our first dance were magical. Seeing all our family and friends around us signing along to “All of me” by John Legend was definitely a highlight”.
“I wanted something simple and timeless, but with a little modern twist which is why I really liked that the sweetheart neckline had beaded and pearl detailing. I really loved the slit as well”.
“We had a welcoming party for all our guests which flew in from around the world (Canada, USA, UK, Iran) to kickoff the celebrations. It was a white-party hosted at EGO bar in Kalamata”.
“Try to be as present and enjoy all the difference moments of the day as much as possible. So much planning has gone into this day so when it comes, know some things may go wrong, but just embrace it and take in all in”.
