Aggelou Photography beautifully captured all the true emotions from Marias and Ian’s wedding day in Athens and their gorgeous next day photoshoot in Santorini and we are very excited to share every special moment with you! Their decoration had elements from both their countries: olive leaves for Greece and thistle for Scotland. The bride could not have been more beautiful as she chose two different wedding dresses for her special day from Primalicia with elegant details! We simply can’t get enough of this lovely wedding in Athens!

«We met in London, after we both moved there for work. Our first date was a high tea at the Ivy restaurant where Ian was trying to figure out if I like him or not, by peering at me through the cake tray. Ian proposed on a sunny day in Richmond Park which is one of our favorite places in London full of trees, deer, and lakes. », bride shared with us.
«My wedding dresses were both from Primalicia in Athens. The veil was also from Primalicia. The main wedding dress was a bespoke gown by the tailoring team who did an excellent job. I wanted to enjoy the party and dance so I chose a second dress for the occasion. »
«My favorite moment of the wedding was being presented to my future husband outside the beautiful seaside church by my proud and happy uncles who were giving me away, and then stepping into the church and down the aisle to begin our new life together. Of our guests, the Greek contingent most enjoyed our bagpiper in full Highland dress, who flew from Edinburgh for our wedding, for those coming from abroad it was smashing plates! »
«I was visiting the site Chic and Stylish Weddings finding the theme and detail inspiration. »
«Our wedding decoration was elegant with white, ivory and green colors. The bridal bouquet was white peonies. We wanted to match the Greek and Scottish styles by incorporating an olive tree with a thistle in our motif. For our wedding table decoration, we chose beige tones with gold details. We used hand painted oyster shells with gold trim for the place names for each guest and jars of homemade marmalade and flower soaps for our wedding favors. We thought it was a nice touch that our guests would enjoy and keep as a moment of the day. Our wedding cake was a seven-tier custom made British style cake designed to match our theme with ivory 3D edible flowers. »
Brides’ advice: «If you are not located in Greece, there are so many details which require personal attention that it is very much worth your while to look for the services of an experienced wedding planner who’s work you can see examples of. You need to be able to fully enjoy your day and not be worrying about admin.»
«Having guests from 5 different continents made a difficult task to please everyone. However, we were fortunate enough to work with amazing professionals such as Tasos Aggelou Photography, Dionisis our videographer, John our bagpiper, Efi and Areti our hair and makeup artists and Spilios our amazing pastry chef. Spilios specifically managed to deliver the task of our dream cake where many other professionals in Greece could simply not. It is a custom in UK to have a proper sponge-based cake and this was incredibly difficult to arrange in Greece. After many appointments with different pastry chefs, Spilios was the one. »
«Tasos Aggelou Photography, our photographer, was also amazing. His talent for capturing people is also complimented by his professionalism, kindness, and fantastic work ethic. Tasos is such a dream to work with. We love the results, and the only challenge is choosing the best shots!»
«We would like to make a special mention for Atelier Invitations for their excellent design and communication. Pavlos is an amazing artisan with a personal touch. We felt like he cared as much as we did about making something special and unique for us. So many of our guests said they were the best wedding invitations they had ever received.»
