“Antoni and I met at a Giorgos Mazonakis concert in Boston, MA. I was there with my cousin and he was there with his family and friends. His friends happened to be friends of mine from back home. Our mutual friends waved us down from a distance. My cousin and I stayed a little while longer to catch up with everyone. It was at that moment that I was introduced to my future husband. In July of 2020, Antoni planned a vacation trip for us in Miami, Florida. It was there that he proposed after a beautiful dinner on the roof top of 1 Hotel on July 11th. With champagne in hand, we did a cheers to forever together”, Kanella mentioned to us.
“My husband and I wanted a traditional Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony with a modern twist. The vision for our big day was all white everything to capture a modern, classy, elegant, and sexy atmosphere. We wanted to incorporate a variety of white flowers including white roses, peonies, hydrangea, orchids and Eustoma amongst some greenery for all floral decor at the church as well as the reception. Enkipo elevated the natural beauty of our chosen locations with a floral archway in front of the church and elegant candle lit lanterns lining the aisle staircase. The two wedding candles were ornamented with a wreath of white florals. The guest tables were decorated with tall glass floral filled vases and a display of an assortment of glass pillar cylinder vases filled with candles to give contrast and depth to the reception space…”.
“Though there were countless memorable moments from our special day the one that stood out the most as my favorite was during the blessing and crowning ceremony of the wreaths. I’ve loved watching this part of other people’s wedding ceremony and have always wondered what the bride and groom felt like at that moment. Once our best man exchanged the crowns on our head three times and the priest led us to walk around the alter I got to experience the revelation. I felt a rush of excitement, an overwhelming feeling of love and happiness, and a sense of relief that we were officially united at one. The view of all our friends and family who travelled near and (mostly) far to be with us on our special day, even some on facetime at the moment, was extraordinary as I laid eyes on each and every face there supporting our unity. When I think back to our wedding day, I think of all the love and support we had entered this new chapter of our life together. It was truly the best feeling in the world”.
“It was the best feeling when the church service concluded, and I could finally call my Kanella my wife! It was an incredible feeling being announced for the first time as husband and wife to all our friends and family. Our first dance was an unforgettable moment that will cherish always”, Antonis shared with us.
“I said ‘yes to the dress’ at Alexandra’s Boutique in Fall River, MA. My wedding dress and veil was made by designer Martina Liana. A distinctly modern statement. The daringly sheer bodice marks a true focal point, with a skinny plunge neckline that reaches the waistband and stays covered by illusion tulle. The layers of vintage laces sculpt the body to enhance the curves, especially in the side cutouts which are masked with ivory tulle. A train and veil extending six feet in length were sure to make a statement”.
