With the majestic caldera views from Santorini Gem, Charlotte and Sean got married surrounded by closest friends and family and their celebration was nothing short of iconic. We are absolutely in love with every romantic yet bohemian detail of this destination wedding and can feel the couple’s love radiating through the photos captured beautifully by Eva Rendl!
«We got married in Santorini Island in Greece, in summer. We were good friends in high school and started a relationship after we had travelled and finished university. We got engaged under the Bridge of Sighs in Venice. My wedding dress was a beautiful Enzoani design with a detachable skirt, I always knew from a little girl I wanted a detachable skirt so that I could have two different looks throughout the day. When I found it I just knew it was the one. The details on the fabric were stunning and went so well with our wedding theme and flowers. I had to wait over a year to finally try her on due to pandemic and our wedding being postponed but she was worth the wait», the bride shared with us.
«Looking at Chic and Stylish Weddings really helped inspire me for the colour scheme and vibe I wanted for the wedding. Seeing everyone’s pictures and details was so helpful! We wanted to go for a bohemian but also classic vibe for our wedding so we decided on a cream / white colour scheme but we also incorporated pampas grass to give our wedding a summer feel as after all we did get married in Santorini! I really wanted a presentation style bouquet with a little cascade of orchids, so our florist incorporated both with all my favourite flowers to create my bouquet which was amazing. For the ceremony we dressed the arch on both side whilst keeping the simplicity of the views in the background as it’s so beautiful we wanted everyone to take in as much as us. We had the isle dressed with the same flowers hanging on the chairs. From start to finish the day was just perfect and everyone was so happy and full of love. One of the most memorable parts was the wedding dinner we had a fantastic singer and everyone was up dancing before we had even started the food! Everyone was having the best time dancing and taking in the moment. It was truly magical!»
«Every moment of the wedding was magical from start to finish. The fact it had been postponed and 50 of our closest friends and family had got over to Santorini in the middle of a pandemic meant everything to us. When I finally walked down the isle and saw my husband to be standing there waiting for me I knew that that was the moment we were becoming forever. The moment we had waited so long for. That was the most magical moment».
The bride’s advice: «To be positive and organized. Your wedding is about you and your husband which is the most important thing so stay strong together. Getting married in the middle of a pandemic isn’t easy but it’s worth it in the end. Make sure you are organized and you have a back up plan too as life is so unpredictable. If you stay positive and focused everything will work out».
