The bride shared with us: “We met at the University of Lancaster in England in 2010. Panagiotis proposed on the same day 2 years before our wedding, in the middle of the sea in our beloved place, in Almyropotamos, the village of Panagiotis. It was a well-organized plan with the parents as well. Much crying preceded before saying “yes”.
“We got married in the church of Agios Fanourios in the Gregou Estate. We chose this chapel for both its beauty and its convenience. The guests hadn’t need to be transferred from the church to the estate.”
“The wedding dress was my mother’s. She designed it and sewed it for her wedding, 34 years ago, and I had the honor to wear it on my own wedding! I knew exactly what I wanted it to change to be a summer dress, so I found the dressmaker who was as stubborn as me, to sew and work on the design. I wouldn’t change anything from this dress – it has seen many beautiful moments!”
“We wanted our wedding decoration to be very simple as we liked the location as it was. We chose olive as the main wedding theme and we tried to put as many Greek elements as possible (we had many friends and family members from abroad). We really liked the objects on the estate that were in line with our style.”
“My bridal bouquet was really simple. I chose olive leaves and white roses.”
“We loved every moment of our wedding. Our wedding had moments that we will never forget… It was the most beautiful day of our lives! The moment that I entered the room and saw Panagiotis was very special!”
“The wedding blogs Love4weddings, EverAfter and Chic and Stylish Weddings helped us a lot because we had access to professionals who could help us a lot with providing many wedding information, all together. We stayed abroad so they helped us to find and compare estates, to get ideas for the decoration and to find the wedding professionals who we worked with. We didn’t have to search in different websites, we just communicated directly with the professionals we were interested in.”
“Love4Weddings inspired us for decoration, to adorn the wishes table, and to find ideas for our favors. Most stuff were handmade by us (parents, brothers, aunts, uncles, friends, etc.) so Love4weddings gave us many ideas to implement.”
Advice to bride-to-be: “All decision and organization must be made by the couple. Panagiotis and I did everything together (with lots of help from our parents and friends in Greece), so our wedding reflected our character. Your friends and family will have a great time if you both have fun during your wedding!”
