Beautiful weddings like this romantic and intimate wedding at Stubton Hall, captured amazingly by photographer Adrian Wood makes me smile from ear to ear! The lovely peach, coral and orange colors and all the impeccably thought out details make this one of those weddings that will have you dreaming about it for days!
“We met at a friend’s bbq on a really hot, sunny day (rare for England!). We spent all afternoon talking to each other. The party went on into the night and at the end I gave Gordon my number – I wasn’t really expecting to hear from him as he had had a few too many drinks and I wasn’t sure he’d remember!!”, Sophie shared with us.
“We both enjoyed our whole wedding day from start to finish. I stayed at the venue with a few of my best friends the night before which was brilliant. Getting ready was stress free as hair and makeup ladies were amazing. The ceremony was beautiful and the rest was so much fun – great food and lots of drinks with our family and friends. But the ultimate moment would probably have to be when my brother and sister surprised us with a film they had put together which included our families, it was really touching that they had gone to so much effort and the result was just the most hilarious, wonderful film played on a big screen for all to watch!“.
“My wedding dress was a fishtail style wedding dress with lace and buttons down the back and a little belt around the middle – I loved it and felt really good in it on the day”.
“It’s hard work planning a wedding and it can be stressful – but try to enjoy every moment and make lots of lists!! On the day, do not worry about anything – that is not a job for the bride!”
“We spent our third date in Greenwich (on another very lovely summers day!) and we had such a good time – I think this is when we both realized how much we liked each other. We continued to visit Greenwich throughout our relationship. Then on a cool February Saturday we took a trip to Greenwich. It was a very normal day but when we sat down on a bench up a hill looking out over London, that is when he proposed – it was very romantic as the park was deserted and it was a special place for us. It took a couple of large gin and tonics for the news to sink in – it was a complete surprise!”
“We had beautiful flowers in the ceremony room and on each table at the reception. The venue was so beautiful that we didn’t need any other decoration”.
According to the bride the best decision she made was that she and Gordon had practised their first dance before the wedding day! “We are not natural dancers so we had a couple of lessons. We had such a fun time learning and practicing the dance – and everyone was quite shocked and impressed on the day. It was really worth it and we still remember it now!”
